I thought reading this was great, but after the second book came out and I knew it would be months before the third book, I decided to see how the audiobook was. Long story short… it’s great. A couple words pronounced differently than I expected but the voices and emotions are superbly expressed! Now listening to the second book.

Lauren has written a perfectly sweet modern romance and Zachary and Andi have brought the characters to life. I really enjoyed this tale and will look for more stories from Lauren.

I took this as one of my two freebies this month and was surprised to see how much I liked it. I was actually sad to find that it was over. Wally is a great character and I'd love to see further adventures of his, but I fear this is a one time thing. Maybe if enough other listeners request it, Nick might just delve deeper into the worlds of quantum mechanics.

Most excellent performance with character voices as distinctive as only multiple performers can usually get. The story has many view point shifts and the various performers were definitely an aide in giving this a real feel. The overall story (you can read synopsis elsewhere) is as ludicrous as you would expect from the title. That said, Neal has crafted a marvelous time travel story that is hard to beat. It's up to his usual standards and a must listen for all of his fans.

The thing about great series is that they eventually have to end. I’m torn between loving the way the authors completed this and my desire to hear more. Hopefully, they will partner again to please myself and the many thousands of listeners who love their work. Kudos also to the narrator, he has performed the entire series with better than professionalism. I look forward to hearing him again.

I've been a fan of C. Moore for some time now and he has never failed to please (well, with the exception of the Lamb). His stories are always witty, humorous, and filled with great characters. Noir is no exception and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Where does The Dispatcher rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Scalzi rarely fails to entertain with original and creative (aren't those synonyms?) and Dispatcher is not an exception to the rule. The concept is great. At some point in time (near future) people start returning from death, but only if they’ve been murdered. A new profession has arisen in the “dispatchers,” who are licensed to end your life IF (and supposedly only if) you are about to die. But therein lies the rub. Great story.
Zachary is a very professional actor and his narration of this story is flawless. I’ll look for more stories from him.

Another Great in a Four Book Series (currently)

I've enjoyed Jim Bernheimer's Supervillain series immensely and this one is no exception. Jeffrey Kafer's production of the audio book is superb and couldn't be better. The words are laugh out loud funny and Kafer adds the perfect inflection and tone to make this a truly funny audio book.
The inventiveness of Bernheimer is beyond compare, why he isn't working for SpaceX to come up with new ideas is beyond me.

The four stars for story was just because "it ended too damn quickly!"

Good story, good narration. Entertaining with a few twists. Well developed main characters with the lesser characters, not so much.

Where does War Dogs rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I like Greg Bear. I like Greg Bear's writing. Why then, after about a dozen hours of listening to a captivating tale, does this author just leave the story without an ending. Did Greg get bored and decide it was time to end the book? Did he decide the word count was getting too great? Did he suddenly drop dead and leave the unfinished work for his agent to finish?Sheesh! Why do some author's feel that not having an ending is an ending? In case Greg (or any other author out there) reads this: I DON'T CARE HOW NEAT YOUR IDEA IS OR HOW GREAT YOUR WRITING IS, JUST STOPPING A NOVEL IS NOT THE SAME AS ENDING ONE!Please, people, don't let this kind of idiocy propagate through English literature. Tell the authors that you expect them to finish what they start!Great performance by the reader, well written story, just about 50k words short of a novel.
