Historia
Tracie Peterson, from her own Montana home, paints an unforgettable portrait of the rich, rugged landscape of the 1860's West, populated by strong and spirited characters. When Dianne Chadwick urges her family to move west to her uncle's ranch in the Montana Territory, she has no idea that her new life in the rugged frontier - and even within her uncle's home - will not be the idyllic adventure she expects.

Hard to get through
Revisado: 02-03-25
Not enough history, excitement, or joy. When the description of the type of book said it was inspirational and it was great for historical fiction I thought great. Well, there’s not much of anything historical except the time that they were in and the place, with not that much detail about the place. And inspirational is one thing, but having inspiration shoved down your throat for 10 hours is another thing altogether. I’m a believer and I was ready to stop believing several times during the book. Perhaps if there were a different narrator, it might make a difference. This person sounds so old with no real inflection in her voice, hardly any differences between character, voices, and a complete lack of energy.

Why virtual voice?
Revisado: 01-24-25
I’m guessing this could’ve been a wonderfully delightful book. However, the virtual voice made it absolutely bland and pathetic. There was no excitement. There was no sadness. There was no difference between voices. I listened till the end, but it never was the truly wonderful story that I thought it could’ve been. I truly hope this is not where we are headed with audiobooks!

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

How and why?
Revisado: 12-10-23
I’d like to thank Harry for verifying what happened. I hope it was a cathartic experience for him. I’m so glad it was he who narrated it in Audible. I felt like it made all the difference. Outstanding, saddening, and ultimately hopefully freeing!

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling authors of America's First Daughter comes the epic story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton - a revolutionary woman who, like her new nation, struggled to define herself in the wake of war, betrayal, and tragedy. In this haunting, moving, and beautifully written book, Dray and Kamoie used thousands of letters and original sources to tell Eliza's story as it's never been told before - not just as the wronged wife at the center of a political sex scandal but also as a founding mother who shaped an American legacy in her own right.

Extremely good historical fiction. Written so well and narrated very well! I fully intend to listen to the book again.
