Historia
The Covenant mission is the most ambitious endeavor in the history of Weyland-Yutani. A ship bound for Origae-6, carrying 2,000 colonists beyond the limits of known space, this is a make-or-break investment for the corporation - and for the future of all mankind. Yet there are those who would die to stop the mission. As the colony ship hovers in Earth orbit, several violent events reveal a deadly conspiracy to sabotage the launch.

No real climax
Revisado: 08-22-24
It was okay. But lacked the twists and suspense of the other novelizations. It is worth the listen maybe for the back story.

Historia
When this club selects a book, magic happens. They are whooshed inside the book and become the main characters as the mystery comes to life. It is exhilarating fun – until they realize they can’t get out until they solve the crime and reach The End. Not to worry, though! They are a brave, daring, and quirky bunch, and they always get their man, even if it’s a woman. Or a fairy. Or a shifter. Or a ghost. Or a genie . . . In every book journey they are excited to land in a unique world and meet a different kind of paranormal being. And even better, in these books, calories don’t count...

Light reading, narration is lacking
Revisado: 06-11-24
The story is decent, not particularly deep. The narration needs a human touch. The recording should be reviewed and edited by a human. The AI had some mispronunciations, an awkward lack of emphasis in places and it didn't know when some lines were meant to be sung.

Great Book

First you have to realize this book was written before cell phones and social media. Once past that it's an exciting tale. Intrigue, mystery, the supernatural and no smut. Very nice.

Historia
Lucy normally loves planning for the holidays, but this year, Tinker's Cove has fallen on hard times. With so many residents struggling, Christmas festivities are a luxury some can't afford. But the story's not so bleak at Downeast Mortgage, whose tightfisted owners, Jake Marlowe and Ben Scribner, are raking in profits from everyone's misfortune. Half the town is in their debt, so when the miserly Marlowe is murdered, the mourners are few and the suspects are many. Scribner believes Marlowe's ghost has come to warn him of his own demise, and when he starts receiving death threats, Lucy wonders if there's more to the omen....

Definitely not her best. But, an enjoyable little escape from life's daily chores with a smidge of Christmas cheer thrown in for good measure.

Historia
Lucy Stone has always loved covering the annual Easter egg hunt for the Pennysaver. Hosted by elderly socialite Vivian Van Vorst at Pine Point, it's a swanky event where the eggs are as likely to contain savings bonds as they are jelly beans. But when Lucy arrives, a man dressed as the Easter Bunny emerges, only to drop dead moments later. Lucy discovers the victim is VV's grandson, and soon learns that not all is as it seems at idyllic Pine Point.

Stereotypical Lucy Stone

There's a murder, a mystery, some humor, a sprinkling of real life issues. What we have come to expect from this little respite from every day life.

Great plot
Revisado: 03-07-23
Very interesting story line with nice additions of actual history to lend substance and believability. This particular narrator is not my favorite (he's a little monotone). But, the story is captivating enough that I stop paying attention to it after just a couple of sentences.

Done with this
Revisado: 11-02-22
As usual, the murder mystery portion of the story is pretty good. However, Eden Lake is apparently filled with melodramatic imbeciles. It's just to stupid to bear. So, I am done with Hannah Swenson and her ridiculous cohorts.

paperback porn
Revisado: 10-07-22
I love fantasy, sci Fi. Especially, in the Dark or Middle Ages environment. I really wanted to like this series. I thought the narrator was excellent. But, got so turned off by the over the top, demeaning, gratuitous sex I had to just give up. Too bad, the story itself was actually taking some interesting turns and the main characters were developing nicely.

Drama not suspense
Revisado: 09-30-22
I read Lescoart for the mystery and suspense. This was more an exercise in character development. And, more about how some let life determine their destiny.
