Historia
Kerra Bailey is a television journalist on the rise, and she's hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to even greater heights: an interview with the legendary Major Trapper. Twenty-five years ago, the major emerged a hero from the bombing of the Pegasus Hotel in downtown Dallas when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors out of the collapsing building. The iconic picture transformed him into a beloved national icon, in constant demand for speeches and interviews - until he suddenly dropped out of the public eye.

Revisado: 04-04-25
I used to be a huge fan but this will be my last one. All of her books follow the same story line, names & dates change but that’s about it. Gorgeous successful career oriented female in danger, macho alpha male rescues between bouts of lust. Congratulations you just read her last 15 books.

Stacy was shot in the face – twice – and left to die. The first time the killer thought he had succeeded, and he left Stacy bleeding in her bed. But a few minutes later he must have heard her moaning and returned to her upstairs bedroom. This time he approached the bed, pointed a .22 caliber rifle at her young face, and pulled the trigger again. Then he left.Later that morning, Memorial Day, May 25, 2005, the Logan County Sheriff would declare it a rampage. According to Sheriff Henry, 18-year-old Scott Moody lived on a family farm with his mother and sister; his grandparents lived ...

The monotone “reading”
Revisado: 03-25-25
I tried but I can’t. I ended up googling this story. I understand this isn’t a living reader but The flat, robotic monotone reading, just ends up either putting me asleep or bleeds into background noise. This family deserved better.

Annoying
Revisado: 03-07-25
I don’t know if the writer painted these people to be as dense as they appear to be or if they really were that dense. If you have any common sense take a pass on this one

Historia
There's a saying in Barstow, California, a decaying city in the scorching Mojave desert . . . The Interstate here only goes in one direction: Away. But it's the only place where ex-LAPD detective Beth McDade, after a staggering fall from grace, could get another badge . . . and a shot at redemption. Over a century ago, and just a few miles further into the bleak landscape, a desperate stranger ended up in Calico, a struggling mining town, also hoping for a second chance.

In the devastating aftermath, she must turn South Minneha Hospital into a place of refuge, a beacon of hope for her fellow survivors. Desperate to save his dying son, Arlo takes over the hospital and gives Laurel an impossible ultimatum: save his terminally ill boy, or watch everyone she cares for die.

Too many errors
Revisado: 11-12-24
I tried with this one but I can’t. A 15 year old boy pops up says, “lovely dog” after an EMP attack when things are bad, then acts like he’s unconcerned about his family and happily takes up with a stranger. I don’t know of any 15 year old that talks / acts like that. The Dr’s mother has terminal cancer yet she can’t seem to make up her mind if she cares or not? One scene she can’t be bothered to check on her next scene she cares? The writer needs to study human behavior before her next book.

Good listen
Revisado: 09-15-24
There’s not a lot of new information here. However, I found it concerning that the people whose praises he sings the loudest are for the most corrupt globalist politicians to ever hold office. The ones that care more for their own power than they do about our country, yet said very little about anyone else who have been just as active. Sorry Lou but I question your motives.

Historia
On a cold January morning, the killer executed Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse in broad daylight. Eight shots fired a block from the Kaufman County Courthouse. Two months later, a massacre. The day before Easter, the couple slept. Bunnies, eggs, a flower centerpiece gracing the table. Death rang their doorbell and filled the air with the rat-a-tat-tat of an assault weapon discharging round after round into their bodies. Eric Williams and his wife, Kim, celebrated the murders with grilled steaks. Williams planned to exact revenge on all those who had wronged him.

Good listen but issues.
Revisado: 06-17-24
I remember when this happened, hearing the whole story filled in a lot of blanks. But I had 3 issues. Ms. Casey should have known gun shows have background checks just like stores do, but chose to insert the falsehood instead. She made condescending sounding comments about church goers & chicken fried steaks. Rude. And the narrator pronouncing “Tawakoni” like she was unsure of the pronunciation - every time she said it. It’s not hard. I do appreciate tying up the loose ends but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Historia
“AIR RAID, PEARL HARBOR. THIS IS NOT DRILL.” At 7:58 a.m. on December 7, 1941, an officer at the Ford Island Command Center frantically typed what would become one of the most famous radio dispatches in history as the Japanese navy launched a surprise aerial assault on the American navy stationed in Hawaii. In a little over two hours, the Japanese killed more than 2,400 Americans and propelled the US’s entry into World War II. Dead Reckoning is the story of the mission to avenge that devastating strike.

Author couldn’t leave woke out
Revisado: 06-10-24
The story would be fascinating except for the author making sure he pointed out what side of the civil war people descended from and the racist comments Americans made after the Pearl Harbor attack. Using a 2024 lens to peer at WWII. It would be nice to hear the facts instead of Racism being tagged at every opportunity. It was a war not 2024 at Starbucks

Annoying
Revisado: 05-07-24
The author randomly bounced back & forth between the past and the present through the entire book. I don’t mean chapter to chapter but right in the middle of current events. Made even more aggravating by the fact that they all shared the same name. It’s like they took their research, tossed it in the air, picked it up and published it.

I loved the whole book. You won’t guess who the bad guy is. The ending? I wasn’t crazy about. Long drawn out and the explanation for it all was pretty much a stretch. But it was good!
