Ugh! Another Let Down

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I LOVED King and Sophie's story - the first in this Scandal and Scoundrel series! I listened to it a few times. I hated the second in the series about King's Scotties friend - so much so not worth going back to find his name or the name of the book. Had high hopes this third would redeem the series as it focused on Sophie's eldest sister who we learn of her and her Duke in the first King book.

I felt this story dragged on and on and there were SO many repetitions within the book - how many times did we need to read (or listen) to the Duke tossed into the pond by Sophie? The only good parts were when the sisters were all together and they were too few to make this a fun read.

I listened to King's book all at once, this one took many, many attempts as I fell asleep numerous times trying to get through it. The ending was roll your eyes worthy and I was happy it was over. Could have been an excellent conclusion but fell as flat as the Duke in the pond.. sorry - like the author and the other prior series about the gaming hell but this one.. PASS!

Where does Duke of Manhattan rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Read the whole series thus far and greatly enjoyed Ryder and Scarlett. They are a great couple and the entire story was well done. It took off fast and kept going. I so wish there was a follow up and an additional story about these too. I enjoyed Max King and Harper but loved reading about Max's sister and her HEA with Ryder. Great summer read!

Great 3 Part Story BUT the KING Rules

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

These three were enjoyable - very dark books.. BUT the recently released King book that focuses on Damon is THE BEST in the series! I really hope they do an audible version and look forward to the 2nd of the Damon story.

Loved the characters and had many LOL moments. Parts of story very touching and overall really enjoyed it. Fast paced and fun characters.

Out of the Series this one is Lacking!

What disappointed you about Ladies Man: Tahoe's Story?

I loved the first 3 and adored Callan's Womanizer.. this one was a snooze fest and I found both characters annoying and unbalanced. Their story was the least interesting.. blah..

Total disappointment.. skip this one.. go right to Callan! You won't miss anything.

Loved This One The Most!

Would you consider the audio edition of Womanizer to be better than the print version?

I've listened to all in this series and by far, this one hand's down was my favorite. I so wish they didn't cram the ending and spread it out to at least a second book! I can't understand why the intro to the series received 3 books and this all summed up in one. Callan Carmichael was THE most interesting of the 3 men (IMHO) and I wanted more! To spread his and Livvy's story out and then cram (literally) 6 yrs into 3 paragraphs was such a let down! I wish the author skipped Tahoe's stand alone (it was the worst and boring and again left wide open (even in this book, Tahoe STILL hasn't gotten married?)... I so love this circle of friends and hope the author will continue and write more ... Callan deserved at least a 2nd book!

New to Genre - LOVE this Book! Story & Narrator

Would you consider the audio edition of Dirty Filthy Rich Men to be better than the print version?

I'm new to this genre type (don't judge, just found and read Grey and loved it).. that being said, I've literally devoured SO many books in the last few months. I've come to discover and love Elena Wolfe (so much so, I stalk her contributions as a potential reading list). I found this book and story well paced, interesting characters and wanting for me. I eagerly anticipate the 2nd book release in Sept.

Great Summer Listen

Would you listen to A Fine Imitation again? Why?

I loved this book. Thought the story was great and the narrator did an excellent job with all the voices. It was relaxing to listen too and not like some others where it seems the narrator practically screams to change voice sounds.

Annoying Narrator

Terrible story, equally terrible narrator. The different accents were major fail and trying to be male voice poor execution. Boring.
