Historia
Erik knew one thing after dropping in, when he first saw the numbers before his eyes, the rumors about the "cursed" were true. He was in another world. Survival wasn’t assured. Cultivate, get skills, grow abilities, or die. His old life, as a combat medic, had been hard, but he had learned some valuable lessons. And he wasn’t alone. His best friend, a marine recon sniper, like always, was right by his side. Could they figure out this fantasy world? What does it mean to ascend? How will they master the magic of this strange place?

Highly recommend (slight rant)
Revisado: 07-08-21
This book is much better if you have read light novels but doesn’t require any prior knowledge.
Slight rant warning:
To me the biggest draw back of fantasy/sci-fi is their lack of staying in the logic. I don’t mean staying within our understanding of what is possible but within the system or world they create. For example Harry Potter is one of the more popular of the genre but to me it lacks in its logic. Poison, bullets, and bombs work on wizards. I’d you have your own government you have a police and military. But for some odd reason the entire world of wizards refuses to put down/capture a terrorist organization and leaves it to a young boy and principal. I get that this description is breaking it down to its bare bones and lacks but the point remains. The author picks and chooses aspects of the world they wish to keep and dismisses other that would negatively affect the story.
Although I said all of this, I do understand it happens with every book as it’s a necessity for the story to continue. I like this book because it tries, more than most books, to hold to the logic it has created. I like that instead of some random kids being transported and mysteriously knowing how steam engines and guns work and how they are built, using ancient technology or random other world tech no less, you get two military men with training and prior knowledge in the fields they use.
Slight spoilers:
Building bathrooms and barracks are things these men would have had to do or been around enough to understand the mechanics. As a southern man, as Rugrat is, I get how he would understand building firearms or enough that with a little help from the system could figure it out, especially with his military training. The only real downside to this book is that with the stable and methodical approach the men use it lacks the drama and flare other books bring.

My favorite book
Revisado: 02-08-21
I have read thousands of books, light novels, and mangas. Since I was 4 I haven’t stopped reading and I have never truly had an answer for what my favorite book was. The never hero has solved that. This is has been my favorite book since it came out. This is probably the closest you can come to a story of what would happen to a real person if they were thrown into a movie/book.

This is an amazing story. The narrator does a great job helping you into the flow of the book. I’m at a loss to describe this book without spoilers, so I’ll say that if you enjoy stories with powerful main characters and a touch of fantasy then you won’t go wrong here.

Disjointed
Revisado: 02-08-21
Disjointed is the perfect way to describe this book. It lacks flow and a flair that a story must possess to be a story. The best way to explain is that this story is like listening to a child try to tell you about an amazing thing that happened. The “amazing thing” may or may not be amazing but the rambling and disjointed way of telling distracts from it so much you can’t get through it.

Historia
Chad Johnson built his following by being a troll. Online games, social media, you name it—he's there with a witty comeback. But when he goes too far during a televised stream, he's handed a punishment unlike any other. Instead of the usual ban or suspension, Chad's sentenced to thirty days of full immersion therapy in Isle of Mythos—a world of epic fantasy filled with dungeons and mythical creatures. The twist? He's forced to embody a forest troll, one of the most-despised races in Mythos.

Decent
Revisado: 02-08-21
Overall decent story and performance. This book is pretty predictable and follows the path you expect it too. Enjoyable like watching a rerun or hearing an old song remixed. Don’t listen or read with high expectations and you should be fine.

So much potential
Revisado: 02-08-21
The world is built, the story fleshed out, and the characters decently described. What ending do we get? A rushed make everything happy go lucky end. *sigh*

After conquering all of Hesse, creating a devilish new dungeon, and establishing himself as the villain that everyone loves to hate, Lucas decides to continue his quest to create new content by taking over as a dungeon master on the mainland. Unlike the dominant force on the island he left behind, however, the once-mighty Imperium only controls a single capital city in a rapidly shrinking territory, leaving a group of scheming nobles to bicker among themselves and fight over scraps of land.

Revisado: 02-12-20
Overall a decent story. Lacks surprises and twist. Overall a good story just nothing out of the ordinary. If you are looking forward to him truly becoming a villain then you will disappointed. Worth a listen but don’t expect to be blown out of the water.

Great book but the narrator needs to slow down his pace a little bit and maybe actually pause between switching to new characters

Read me
Revisado: 11-07-16
Ever wondered what would happen if you took an intelligent young adult and put him in the main characters place? Well that’s what contractor is. I’m not saying the mc doesn’t make stupid mistakes, I’m saying the difference is the mistakes he makes aren’t from being unbelievably stupid or dense. (Which is how I’ve found most main characters to be) Truly worth a read or listen. As Luke Daniels is my all time favorite narrator and I only discovered this book thanks to him, I don’t think I need to mention how outstanding a job he did.

Historia
It's not easy being king. Especially when you've got an allergy to sunrise and sunset, a fire goddess for a mother-in-law, demonic adversaries, random assassins, and a basement full of insecurities to cope with. Add to that his daughter, the fire priestess/princess; a couple of lightly deranged professional magicians; a whole city full of wizards; and enough squabbling princes to resemble a kindergarten argument. It's enough to make a man want to just go home.

Good

Very good book I recommend it if you enjoy stories that skip much. The only thing I disliked was the fact that it never explained how he is able to use magic at night again.
