I loved this book. I took the long way home just to be able to listen to it 30 minutes more per day. I even drive the speed limit.

Now it's over. I've been furiously combing the Internet and any Andrew S. Ball site I can find to figure out then it will be released. I've come up with nothing definitive and I want to scream.

I hate the idea of Black Friday. However, I like this book so much that if it were a Black Friday item, I'd drop a WWE elbow on a petite soccer mom just to get the last copy.

And Luke Daniels as the narrator just made this even more fabulous. That man can narrate IKEA instructions and make them bearable.

I honestly only gave this book s glance because I was trying to fill in my time until the next Iron Druid book (another Luke Daniels narration that you MUST read if you have not) was released. I thought I'd hate it because the reviews kept calling it "young adult". I'm so friggin' glad I gave this book a shot.

Five stars all around.

I was more than pleasantly surprised by this book. I thought it would be campy, or juvenile. It was instead thoughtful with well developed characters showing good growth, an interesting and quite unique story and plenty of suspense. I was sad that it came to an end and I'm now looking forward to the sequel. I recommend it it's a well spent credit

The twits and turns are amazing! The second book is another amazing book! Truly looking forward the the third and hopefully soon!

I'm sure like many others, I came across this book because of Luke Daniels as the narrator. As always he's exceptional and his portrayal of the characters greatly adds to the experience. As for the story it was enjoyable and I listened to it pretty quickly. It seems to be right on the border of adult and YA fiction; not too complicated but not exactly juvenile either. Some of the story was a little predictable and a bit far fetched in relation to the hero of the story especially his wit/charm/intelligence. He had it all of course. Overall it was well written and had a satisfying ending. I will likely purchase the next book when it comes out.

Love the blend of sci-fi and fantasy elements. Andrew has a keen grasp on the language and while detailed in description does not lose my interest after multiple replays. As always, Luke Performs excellently. I strongly look forward to the sequel when Andrew finishes school. Hopefully his career won't keep him away from his pen too much.

Its a good one. Listened to it at 1.8. First few chapters are slow but the writing is really good

I like LIT RPG books but they can get so tedious and the storytelling is lazy, it always involves the same unoriginal elements (with a few exceptions) This book is a LIT RPG without the clunky, typical lazy storytelling that LIT RPG books usually have. The story is original, fun and well paced. Blows my mind how a book like this flys under the radar! It’s brilliant!

I enjoyed getting to know Daniel as his world changed and he fell in love. I enjoyed his childish humor and strong morality.

Some of the side characters were well developed and that was greatly appreciated.

I have read the reviews for the next one and slightly scared to be disappointed, but after reading this one I have to give it a go!

PS, I hope Eleanor and Henry are liars, but that may be to much to ask for.

Book is good. Really good. The MC is great. He is intelligent and he also cares to an extent. He found love, but you can see what is happening. Also there is probably going to be a revenge story coming bc he deserves it. Lol
