Sarah J Maas does it again
Revisado: 03-10-20
This book is everything. Okay so, I've read all of SJM series before so I had sky high expectations and this book did not disappoint. I was a little disappointed that she used Elizabeth Evans as her narrator , again. I love Elizabeth Evans and she is a superior narrator, but it would be nice to have a different narrator to distinguish the MC in this book from the MC of the Throne of Glass series. Especially since the characters are really similar in personality traits, Bryce is like a modern day Aelin. Nevertheless I enjoyed all 30 hours of this is book! I can't wait until Book 2 to see how this story continues.

I'm not crying, you're crying...

This is, hands down, the most beautifully written and enthralling story I have ever read. Ever. I try to get everyone that I come across to read these books, if only so I can have someone to stan with about them. Not once in this series have I thought... "Oh that's clichè". I have loved every second of reading this series and I'm certain anyone else would too. This conclusion didnt neccessarily have everything that I wanted to happen, but it was perfect all the same. I reread the other books in the series before reading this one and I'd say that was worthwhile, especially since the last book came out a year or so ago.
Sarah J. Maas - you are blessed with a talent of storytelling that most people only dream of having. I've never come across a writing style quite like yours, the way you envelop the reader into the story is awe-inspiring. I have read not only the "Throne of Glass" series, but also "A Court of Throne and Roses". You are my favorite author and will remain so until the end of time!
DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY! I promise you will never regret it. So what are you still doing reading this review? Jump into the story already!

This story sucks you in!

First things first... this book is rated "simmering" but to me it's more on the sweet side. If I had a teenager, if let him/her read the book. Nothing too... sexual is what I'm trying to say. However... I can tell that the author is trying to build up the suspense, so I can not speak to how appropriate books 2, 3, and 4 will be. I rarely do romance, I mostly read YA dystopian thriller type, but I'm currently trying out the romance package from audible and this was in my recommendations. Well Audible... you know me well, because this book was right up my alley! One thing that's very important to me in a book is a likeable main character. I personally love strong, smart female main characters and Jess is just that. The Male lead is... typical but that's okay I guess his personality would be "swoon worthy" to most women. I also like a love triangle and unfortunately this book is missing that. But I can live without it because this book has so what sooo many romance books is missing which is action, action, action! The main characters aren't just laying around having sex all day and getting into pretty arguments. There's an actual storyline and purpose (sealing the tear) which I love. Hats off to the author, I can't wait to read book 2.

I thought this was the last book...
Revisado: 09-27-16
I love this series so much that this review might come off as a love letter. I pester anyone that I meet to read it. This will make you laugh, make you cry, make you wet 😂 (there is a lot of sex scenes surprisingly). It was long, but I don't mind that... I'm actually glad there's another book. The story gets even more complicated... if that possible and there's not a dull character in the book. Never a dull moment either... it's hard for me to write reviews without giving spoilers, that's why this review is so vague 😅 What I will say is this is definitely a must read, you will not regret it.

Stressful ending but a great story

This was an excellent story. It didn't have the ending that I wanted, but it was a proper ending and I can respect it.
