Cringe is right

Putting aside the virtual voice narrator because I wouldn’t expect that to be any good. The other review that stated cringe was pretty spot on, barely legal virgin, much older guy, creepy nickname and bondage out of place. My first book with this author and def the last.

Another great addition

The only problem with these books are listening to them in public, between Robyn peterman’s writing and Jessica almasy’s narration, I can’t help tearing up at parts and then literally laughing out loud at others. It’s a good problem to have.

This was a great addition to the series. I have no negatives about the book itself but, there is a problem with the audio tho, there’s a constant very low beeping through out that gets distracting at times

Not my favorite

This book fit fine into the series but Phoenix character has not evolved at all even tho she’s the main lead in this one. She sounds and acts like a bratty teenager the entire time and it’s very annoying and harder to get thru book. Unfortunately the things going on with other characters are important to the story, otherwise I would have skipped this one.

Pleasantly surprised!

I do enjoy Sarah pipers books but I think this one has been my favorite. It’s more sedate with action compared to her other books but it still more than kept my attention, it was thoroughly entertaining. It kept moving, has the paranormal romance but it has very funny, lol, moments too. I also love the duet style of narration. The narrators are the perfect choice, sound great together and both are very good with different character voices. Overall it’s so easy to get into this book and love the story and characters.

Least favorite of the collections

I’ve really enjoyed all the stories in this series till this book. Hannah Howell’s story was another great addition to the series but the other 2 didn’t fit into the Mcnaughton world. I didn’t really like them even as separate stories.

Difficult narration for this one

This one was hard to get thru with the digital narration, one because the main female character was British and there’s no accent whatsoever and second because one of the brothers are named Luke and the main female character is sometimes called Luc by the main male, with nothing distinguishing voices it can get confusing

Good story, rough narration

I liked this story, the writing was good but the robot voice that the narrator does for the aliens is hard to listen to

Not my cup of tea

First, the narrator doesn’t do any male voices so you really have to pay attention to know who’s talking. Second, I love stories with strong female heroines even when they’re a bit flawed from just being human, this is not a strong female, I’m not sure how she’s alive for another book, everytime something happens she blacks out and has to be rescued or nursed back to help

Amazing

Jessica Almacy brings every nutty character to life, quirks and all. Robyn Petermans imagination is bonkers and I love it. Only negative I can say about the book and performance is I couldn’t listen to it at work because it made me laugh too hard out loud. Keep them coming please!!
