Absolutely loved it!
Revisado: 04-23-25
I absolutely loved this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved getting to know Wilder and Delilah on a different level in this one. I loved that we also got to go backwards some and see more of what was going on with Wilder and his mental health and the surprise, secret connection that Wilder and Delilah have had for years. This story was definitely emotional as we see Wilder deal with his depression and all the forms that take for him on his journey of dealing with it and trying to find his way through and better ways of coping. I loved how Delilah and Wilder were really there for each other throughout the story. Delilah gives in and kisses Wilder on a night out and it opens things up and gives Wilder the opportunity he has been waiting and working towards. He makes his intentions known and that he doesn't want one night or to mess things up and so is willing to take things on the slower side and more deliberate about it all. I really loved how Wilder was about things with Delilah. They have built a friendship through the years and Wilder has paid attention and I loved seeing him pull that out. The trip to Vegas takes things to another level and I love how Wilder handles it and how they decide to give it a go. Wilder knows what he is wants and he wants forever with Delilah. I absolutely adored this story and loved the emotional aspect of it and how it was done. It was balanced out with humor and I loved the banter between the characters. The mental health aspect of this was handled really well as well. It dives into it and I thought did a really good job of being realistic and doing a good job of showcasing more of what goes on behind the scenes and in someone's head as well as the aftermath and how it affects the people and loved ones around them. I truly loved this one and am both happy and sad that this was the last one in the Sugarland Creek series and am hopeful that we will get to see more of these characters in the future somehow.
The narrators did a fantastic job with the characters and bringing them to life. They were great with the accents and personalities to bring the characters to life as well as the emotion and action happening in the story.

In the world of romance, Aria Montgomery knows two things for sure: She’s not in love with the man everyone thinks she is. And she refuses to let herself love Crew McTavish. Her former best friend is spiraling, and her photography career seems to be standing in her father’s shadow. Aria knows she needs to find her way out of the darkness. Yet she’s afraid if she allows Crew inside, he’ll not only take over—but he’ll get hurt in the process.

Great story!
Revisado: 04-14-25
I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved finally getting to see Aria and Crew come together and start working things out and clearing the air on some things. This book can be read as a standalone but we have seen some interactions and hints of Aria and Crew in previous books in the series. Aria and Crew have never really let themselves be together or give it a shot. When this book starts, things are coming to a head and when Crew shows up just in time to help/save Aria it changes things. It has them both rethinking things a little bit and when Crew gives a little push for them to figure out what is between them and to give it a chance and to stop hiding it, it has them crossing that line into more. This story is definitely on the more emotional side of things as they both are dealing with some insecurities and figuring out how to overcome them. I loved watching them come together and support each other. Aria and Crew are both those people that show up and support their friends and family and will give their all for them. I loved watching how these two helped to refill that well and take care of each other when they are usually the ones doing the caring. The story was really well written and enjoyable. I was engaged with the characters and loved seeing them work through the obstacles in front of them, both as a couple and personally, to see them come out the other side healthy and loving and together. Loved the banter and the antics with the Montgomery's.
The narrators did a fantastic job with the story and bringing it to life. Loved the voices and the emotions that they showcased as well as the action happening. Added that extra dynamic to really bring the characters to life.

I enjoyed this one! I loved getting to delve deeper into Evan's story and seeing him in action with digging into missing children. This time around they find a runaway child who has information on other children that have been taken to a camp. Marlie's world went upside down a few years ago and she has tried to be invisible since and so works as a hospital ER custodian. When the boy comes into the ER she makes a connection with him and he feels comfortable and safe with her, even if she is leery about it. Evan picks up on the fact that Marlie is really great with Noah and that Noah trusts her when he has closed pretty much everyone else off. Evan wants to take this group down and rescue the rest of the kids and to add a little bit more pressure to that, he has a picture of his missing sister which connects her to this. I enjoyed watching Evan and Marlie get to know each other and work in Noah's best interest as well as the rest of the missing kids. We get to see them all get to know each other and the interactions with Noah and I loved Blue as well, Evan's K-9. Blue definitely stole the show quite a few times throughout the book and loved the addition that he made to the story and the characters.
The narrator did a good job with the story and the characters and bringing it to life.

Entertaining story!

I really enjoyed this one! I loved Brett and Blaze. Brett is an ATF K-9 handler and they have been working on a serial arsonist case. When he is at the scene of another suspicious fire, he runs into Gemma, a NCIB insurance investigator, introduces herself to Brett and that she has information about the fires. I enjoyed watching these two come together and figure out how to work together. Gemma likes to work by herself due to having work stolen early in her career so working with Brett and trusting him is difficult for her. Brett has walls up due to what happened in his childhood and about a year ago. This story was well done with the plot and Brett and Gemma investigating the fires and putting the pieces together. They end up working very well together as they work through the pieces and the information that they continue to dig up. The story flowed well and kept my attention as we watch them figure things out with the case and overcoming the obstacles and issues they have in personal lives. I enjoyed getting to catch up with Deck and Evan (the other 2 K-9 handlers), Brett's best friends and am looking forward to the next book in the series.
The narrator did a good job with the characters and bringing the story to life.

Historia
It should have been a routine investigation. Instead, DEA K-9 agent Adam "Deck" Decker watches in horror as one Denver hospital seems to be ground zero for overdoses of a new drug. Now Deck can only hope a certain ER doctor will help him and his canine partner track down the source. Dr. Tori Sampson has her reasons for not trusting federal agents, especially ones working for the DEA. But the rash of overdoses—including a heartbreaking case involving a teen—is alarmingly high. And the new opioid is not only extremely dangerous, it defies all the usual medical treatments.

Revisado: 04-03-25
I enjoyed this one and the characters. Deck is a DEA agent and Thor is his K-9 partner. They are working on a case that is quickly becoming very deadly. OD's are growing and one hospital seems to be ground zero. Dr. Tori Sampson works at that hospital and while she has hang ups with and about the DEA, she wants to help the opioid crisis and ends up being pulled in by Deck. Deck pulls her in to help in a couple of ways and it does make a big difference. The more that they work together and start tracking things down, things get dangerous and there are multiple attempts at killing Deck and Tori is in the crossfire. I enjoyed watching these two have to overcome their differences and how they view things in order to work together for both the case and as things become personal. They are both drawn to each other and as they get to know the deeper side of things, they continue to get closer and build a deeper relationship. This story had some twists and turns throughout with the mystery of who is behind Grey Death and how everything is connected. I was engaged with both Tori, Deck, and Thor as well as Deck's best friends, the other 2 K-9 handlers. I am excited for the next one in the series.
The narrator did a good job with the story and the characters and bringing it to life. She did a good job with the emotions and action.

Historia
Have you ever had the feeling you were a stranger? Out of reach, I watched and mourned me. Nothing moved. Breathed. Nothing lived. I was in an alternate universe. No longer an innocent. I had blood on my hands, and I wasn't even sorry for it. I was only afraid for Keiran. Of his reaction when the shock wore off. It would be an explosion. Of hurt, anger, and mistrust. He'd know I lied. And to him...the betrayal born of my good intentions is worse than the act of murder.

Great story and conclusion to series!
Revisado: 04-01-25
I enjoyed this one. It pulled me in from beginning to end. We come back to Kieran and Lake and see them four years later as they are now dealing with the next issue. Someone is still after Kieran and now things seem to be coming closer to home. Kieran's dad has been killed and the cops are coming after Lake and Kieran and there seems to be more going on in the background. Things had been going well for Kieran and Lake as they grew together and moved forward from Kieran's past and the damage done. Circumstances and the situation they find themselves in puts strain on Lake and Kieran's relationship and has Kieran reverting to a point as the threat to Lake brings out the darker, protective side. I enjoyed getting to see Kieran and Lake work through what they have going on and the new obstacles getting thrown at them and being able to fall back on their last years together. They both have things that they need to deal with and overcome in order to find their way together and into more healing and their future. This story was well written and engaging throughout. It has twists and turns throughout as things start coming to a head for who has been hiding in the background, coming after Kieran and his friends. They get to figure out their strength and the differences in what it means to be strong. This story does a good job of the character development from the beginning of the series and wrapping everything up. I loved this series and all these characters and am sad to see it end and would love more of them possibly in the future but happy to see them all get their happy ending.
The narrators did a good job with the story and bringing it to life with the emotion and action coming through. It is dual narration.

I told myself I didn't need friends. I didn't need family. I sure as f**k didn't need him. And you know what? I was right. He had been inside of me, coursing through my veins. I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved getting Willow and Dash's story this time around. It picks up shortly after the last one left off so about 4 years after we last saw Willow and Dash around each other. Willow had disappeared from everyone's life and no one knew where she went and all of a sudden she has turned up on their doorstep, literally thrown out of a van. Willow is keeping things close and Dash is determined to figure out what is going on. He is also beyond frustrated at the fact that Willow won't give them a chance and that she ended things years ago. Dash definitely has some of that darker bullying aspect going on in this one in the way that he interacts with Willow due to that frustration, anger and hurt but he also wants to keep her safe and figure out what is going on. He pretty much kidnaps her and puts her in his condo with guards on her during all of this and things keep happening. I enjoyed watching things come back together for them. They both still have feelings for each other but Willow has tried to lock it down and completely deny it. Their chemistry is still off the charts between one another and they both know where the soft spots are to hurt each other. They have to figure out how to trust each other and take that leap and forgive the past in order to move on and move forward. This story was well written and engaging, just like the previous books and I absolutely loved it! Looking forward to the last in the series and getting more of this group and Kieran and Lake.
This one is dual narration and the narrators did a great job with the story and all the action and emotion throughout.

I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and it was definitely interesting getting to pick up four years after the last one and see the changes in the characters. This time around we are getting Keenan and Sheldon's story and it definitely starts with a shockwave with Sheldon having gotten pregnant prior to Keenan leaving 4 years ago and now has a little girl, Kennedy. I loved seeing Sheldon and Kennedy, such a cute little girl and a precocious one. This one definitely starts off pretty quickly with a bang with Kieran going after Keenan and bringing him home. He also shows up at the right time in order to help/save Keenan from a dangerous situation and then they walk right back into a new one. There are twists and turns through this one and it does have that darker vibe still as Keenan is hurt and lashing out towards Sheldon for multiple reasons and Sheldon lashes back, especially with their history and his cheating in the past and then running away. Kennan is very possessive and he wants to both hurt Sheldon and have her, so he definitely takes a page out of Kieran's playbook for his dealings and interactions with Sheldon. I enjoyed watching these two come back together and work through some of their issues. They have a lot going on and some definite misunderstandings of what happened and why and obstacles they have to go overcome in order to make it work. They also have to make the choice and take that risk to move forward, together. I was so glad to get their story. Really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one.
The narrators did a great job with the characters, emotion and action and really bringing them to life. I really enjoyed both of their voices and the way that they portrayed the characters.

I’m the oldest virgin in major league baseball. And I’m in love with a woman who’s about to marry someone else. Listen. It’s not like I planned to still be a virgin at twenty-eight. Or to fall in love with the team trainer, who apparently would rather date a guy who wears polo shirts instead of baseball pants. But life doesn’t always go according to plan. When I first laid eyes on Lark Miller, I knew she was something special. Unfortunately, so did her boyfriend.

I absolutely adored this story! It was soo sweet and adorable! Dan just melts your heart from the very start and you are immediately rooting for him to get his chance with Lark. Dan and Lark are really good friends, like best friends, and have built that friendship from the time that he started on the team. Dan was interested in Lark from the beginning but having been inexperienced through school and wanting to find the right one, not just anyone, he took a little bit of time until he figured out that Lark was already dating someone, and seriously. So he settled in for being her friend and wanting whatever made her happy. He never crossed the line but he still found all the little ways that expressed the way he felt, as pretty much everyone else knew on the team that he was in love with her and she was off limits. Now she is engaged but second guessing all of it. When things finally come to a head and she splits with her fiance and realizes that she has feelings for Dan and he feels the same, it opens up something totally new for them. Neither want to lose the other and I loved how Dan handled taking that step and that risk and moving at a slower pace, one that didn't push Lark or have things fall into a rebound. I loved how intentional they were with each other's feelings and how open about it they were. It was so heartwarming and adorable. Dan is a virgin and he is open about it and why and once he found his person, there was no one else, even if she was with someone else. I loved watching them move forward and find their way together and how they handled the different things being thrown at them. I love how he communicated and took the news of Lark being pregnant and being a father. This story was such a good read and I absolutely loved it! It held my attention the entire time and was just so cute and adorable. I can't wait for more in this series!
The narrators did a phenomenal job with the story and bringing the characters and the story to life. I truly enjoyed listening to this and thought that they did such a great job embodying their personalities and showcasing that through their voices as well as the actions and emotions happening in the story. It really added to it! Very well done!

Loved it! Very well done!
Revisado: 03-25-25
This one is the second book in the series and the first one really does need to be read prior to. This one is very well done and I loved seeing Lake finding her own a little bit more. She starts taking Kieran on a little more and challenging him and not just backing down this time around. There is a lot going on in this one and we get to see more of Kieran and his thought process this time around. We get more of his back story and what happened to him and see him go back and forth with Lake. He is still obsessed/addicted to her and their power dynamics that they have but at times he is trying to back away and shut her down due to certain things and times where he is all in and wants more and forever with Lake. This book is on the darker side of things and very high on the power dynamics between Kieran and Lake. Kieran is the dominant and Lake is the submissive. It really does work for both of them though they definitely have their issues they have to work through and deal with. Things are not easy on them and there are lots of things going on. There are people coming at them from multiple directions and Kieran is trying to figure out how to keep Lake safe and take them down. Secrets come out and there are plenty of twists and turns in this one. There is definitely still some bullying and humiliation/embarrassment going on in this one but it is not to the level of the last one. I enjoyed getting to see the development and growth in both our characters. Kieran is definitely more of your antihero but he definitely grows on you and the dynamic between Lake and Kieran is really what makes it work for me. I was super engaged with these characters. I really enjoyed the first book and loved getting to see the growth and more of these guys and their friend group! Can't wait for the next one!
The narrators did a great job with the story. The female narrator is the same as the first one and we add in Teddy Hamilton and it was great to listen to. They did a fantastic job with the story and bringing it to life. It is a dual narration, not duet but they both did a great job with all the characters.
