Historia
The size of a Kodiak bear and covered in tattoos. A heart of gold, a rough and tumble past. Confident, powerful, gentle. Wise. Artistic. Deep wild brown eyes that see far deeper into me than they should. Nothing in my life could ever have prepared me for the reality that is Ink Isaac. He’s just so much more than anyone I’ve ever met, and my instant, inexplicable, and undeniable attraction to him leaves me reeling. But with my life recently turned upside down, the more time I spend around him, the more I realize I’m not even sure what my future looks like anymore—alI know for sure is...

AI not for audiobooks.
Revisado: 11-27-24
I have read and listened to quite a few books. This is my first where the reader was artificial intelligence/computer generated. Have to say I’m not a fan. While it was a pleasant sounding voice it really took away quite a bit from the story. It missed the nuances of the mood and language of the story. At times it was hard to figure out who in the story was speaking. I’m disappointed and will likely avoid AI read books in the future. Especially since the prices are the same. I’d rather read the book and look for audiobooks for my commute that are read by real people that can alter tone of voice for the different characters and adjust the reading of the sentences so they fit into the context of the story.

Historia
New York Times and USA Today best-selling author MaryJanice Davidson’s tales featuring Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor are a perfect blend of humor, horror, and high fashion. In this 10th installment, Betsy finds herself puzzling over an unusual predicament. As the Vampire Queen, she believes she cannot die. So when she wakes in the morgue, it’s a bit confusing. Could it have something to do with her recent time-traveling excursion, or has a wicked enemy emerged who could be the end of Betsy once and for all?

Genre switcheroo
Revisado: 12-02-23
I’ve loved the Betsy series up until this book. I enjoyed the series because of the light hearted tongue in cheek humor. While keeping with some humor from the other books, this book almost changes genres to the point that I’m considering not continuing the series. I’ll try the next book and hope for the best. If not. No more Betsy for me…
