what a wild ride!

this book has everything you could ever hope for in a novel. there is romance there is adventure there's intrigue there's espionage there's friends to lovers there's unrequited love you name it and this book probably has it.
extremely well-written and emotionally touching this book made it a huge impact. as an American, this book really made me stretch my understanding and open my mind to real life situations and the past and hopeful for the future

I love this series

The second book in the sugar Daddy series met all my expectations and morr. it is a great storyline memorable characters and just the right balance of sweet and spice.
My only real complaint as it was before is that they chose a female voice to read a male on male romance it just doesn't work. it constantly pulls me out of the fantasy to hear a woman saying the lines describing what's going on especially in the hotter scenes.
but overall it's fantastic I recommend the series and hope there will be more

fun and sexy once you get past the nareator

I really enjoyed the story it was definitely something a little different. I have not run across many of the sugar daddy sugar baby relationship books
The narrator however was terrible I don't mind virtual voice at all I've kind of gotten used to it through the books that I've read but a female reading a male male romance was definitely not what I wanted. for me it pulled me out of the story several times and just didn't fit. this was a really poor choice.
if I'm honest the narrator knocked it down more than one star for me but it is a really good story so if you're able to get past the inconsistency then it's a really fun story and worth the read.

this series is one of the best that I've read in a long time. well rounded characters, plot twists, duplicity, romance, and great action scenes all the way through this three book series.
it definitely has some steamy scenes, but they never feel gratuitous. multiple romances and discoveries go through the story and add another layer.
definitely recommend

Another great read in the Spruce series

I am a BIG fan of the while series. the characters are so well rounded and, being from Mississippi in the south, i know these people haha.

This book in particular had a more sentimental, emotional feel. maybe it was my reader response, but these characters seemed to bring out real relationship feelings, trials, and emotional depth I really responded to. The steadier scence here were more tame and less explicit, but that added to the tenderness and vunerability the book had as a theme.

As usual, Banner transported me to that small town in Texas, references people I cared about from previous books, made me want a burger form Biggies and to see if that Country Lovin crepe is all it is hyped up to be, and overall made me feel like a member of this small, albeit progressive, southern town. cannot wait for the next book in the series.

compelling story

This was a really fun book with great personable characters. The vivid descriptions really put you into the scene of the story.

My only negative would be that as an American the as an American the accent in which the performance was read was difficult for me sometimes to understand often had to pause and listen to things a second time time. But in that same token the accent added an extra level of richness to the story that I appreciated

canner has done it again with this nostalgic look into our collective queer past.

bringing back those memories both tender and painful and bringing it into this world of love, acceptance and asking is to reconcile and search ourselves for our own truth.

the bonus and shout out to all relationships having there own rules, expectations, and limitations was particularly strong and appreciated.

A great read, a fun sassy story, and (for this reader) Chad takes tge hottest man in Spruce award. really enjoyed it.

thoughtful, hilarious and heartfelt

It is so easy to fall in love with this world

The dynamic characters, the tender moments, the tense conflicts, and the easy flow of the story wrap you in anticipation, googly eyed love, baited breath, and ... well... bouts of kust and desire.

Such a great escape into a place where men show emotion, acceptance is not the exception but the rule, and everyone is rooting for the main characters to find happiness no matter what that means, all nestled deep in the heart of that small Texas town.
