Historia
The more Devin Cain learns about Gaea, the more dangerous it appears. After finding a hidden shard of the broken Demigod Parfanel, Devin has become more powerful than ever—but that same power has also drawn the ire of the Demigods and the System. He's already united humanity and won the dwergar to his side, but even an alliance of thousands won't be enough. When Devin and his friends decide to risk it all and escape Gaea's death games, they'll find themselves in a struggle unlike any they've faced before.

It’s bad. Full of continuity errors. I guess that’s why half the series was free. The ending was stupid. It was just as bad as the “it was all a dream” also learn how to say Tiamat.

Historia
A thousand-year-old cultivator, Drew, is about to ascend to a higher existence. As he begins the process, he finds out he has pissed off one too many demigods. Though he manages to fight off the concerted effort of sect elders and patriarchs...he is slapped away from the higher realms by something. After an instant or an eternity, he awakens on a lower realm! The air is filled with garbage energy, and his emotions of all things are allowing him to control it. For a cultivator that has spent his existence absolutely controlling his thoughts...that won’t do at all.

I have no idea how this has such a high rating
Revisado: 07-07-23
Garbage. The MC is 1000 years old but has the maturity of a 12 year old. Not the biggest issue but when you spend so much time explaining scientific theories and then fallow it up with “I drew a giant penis”, really takes you out of the story. There is no plot, at all. It reads like the author just wanted to show off how much he knows about science and then remembered there was supposed to be a plot. The constant use of the r-word for anything or anyone the MC thinks is stupid was super grating. And on that note, everyone referring to an obese character as “the fatty” is completely unnecessary. I get that the setting of the world is supposed to be morally corrupt but everything about that character is a negative stereotype exasperated. It’s to the point that his “fighting” style is sitting on enemies, or farting / burping so powerfully they explode. I’m honestly surprised he didn’t have toxic b.o. The MC at one point says “I’m not laughing at him, but WITH him….. yeah, that’s it’s” the only redeeming quality is that it was free and I didn’t waist a credit, or god forbid money, on this. I recommend skipping this title, and any other this ‘author’ spews out.

Very “meh”
Revisado: 06-02-23
Basic in every sense. The characters (especially the main one) were 2 dimensional. Its as if the author thought “how would an arrogant person act” and couldn’t develop the character past that but across every character’s flaw. The ideas were interesting but in the end I would not recommend, save your money. Probably going to avoid this author.

Nothing but plot armor
Revisado: 07-20-22
MC has no actual consequences! Needs a skill to accomplish a task? Just make it himself, and better! It’s like the author went through all the trouble of creating a really fascinating progression system only to then ignore it for Randidly.
I’m quitting about halfway through this book so maybe things change, doubtful, but maybe.

Idk what you were talking about! Spoilers
Revisado: 01-07-22
Ignore the review by the person complaining about Zach not going on a killing spree @ the Marshalls. The person that caused the tree deaths was killed by the Marshalls AND the three of Zach’s that were killed were background characters, of course their death wouldn’t spark a war with one of earth’s major factions! Also I too listened to all three books back to back and yes Zach changes, but I wouldn’t call him dumb, just not conniving. He thinks in a linear way, like a character would who has all their attributes in physical stats. It’s called character development, it should happen, characters shouldn’t be unchanging.

I can not stand the narrator's 'yelling' voice. It grates on my ears and drives me crazy. Don't fake yell, just speak a little louder or something else. Please god, stop fake yelling. Other than that, no complaints come to mind. Great listen! will continue the series and recommend to people. Just needed to get the issue of the 'yelling' voice of the narrator off my chest (god I really hate the 'yelling' voice).

Done with this crap.
Revisado: 12-12-20
Where to start? The author is either a complete idiot or he thinks the reader is. The title of the book is Eden's Gate: The Omen and you never learn why. Other than character's saying "it's an omen", "it must be an omen", "blah, blah, blah, omen" you never get to know what the omen it. Oh the reborn have arrived and dragon's will breath fire??? Been hearing that for four books now. The series started with good ideas but then it's like the author is just writing to try and make money, not because he has a story. The plot has consistently become less organized and more random. Events are happening because they HAVE to happen not because the story is organically flowing from beginning to end. The series doesn't feel like it's going anywhere. The answer at the end of every book has been level and grow the guild. Oh there is a megalomaniac with an army and a fire breathing dragon!?!?! What should we do!?!? Oh nothing because he is a problem for months maybe years down the road, ok, better level and grow the guild. Oh there is another megalomaniac much much much closer with an army???? Wait he doesn't have a fire breathing dragon so we can forget about him for now. Oh they are both terrible people that will murder anyone that crosses them (like a women with her newborn baby) BUT they wouldn't dare kill the king to take the power they want. As an actual gamer I can tell you that if I were suddenly in Eden's Gate, by the second month I would be max level. The fact that characters are still under level 25, 5 books into the series, clearly they are shit gamers.
BUT what has got me to quit dealing with this book series is the random homophobic comments that multiple characters have made, it's just uncalled for and completely not needed. The number of times characters have made similar comments through all the books is just bs and unacceptable. It's bad enough that in real life I have to worry about politicians trying to take my rights away, now I have to hope that fantasy novels aren't spewing that bro-y, homophobic, bull crap.
