Historia
The new mystery series for fans of Agatha Christie and cozy crime. Penny Küfer has finally realized her lifelong dream by beginning her first week of training as a detective. But instead of the hoped-for well wishes from friends and family, she finds herself disinherited by her class-conscious mother and dumped by her grasping fiancé. There is only one consolation left to her: the long-dreamed-of trip on the Occident Express, the most luxurious train ever to run on Europe's rails. But even before the ambitious young sleuth can enjoy her first glass of champagne, she finds herself with a ...

The AI generated reader VERY annoying and distracting
Revisado: 04-04-25
Found the AI generated voice very annoying and distracting. At times so annoying I sped past certain parts. overall the AI voice stopped my full enjoyment of the story line as felt couldn't connect with characters. As someone who enjoys the delivery of human reader as part of the overall enjoyment, ill askew further books with AI generated readers.

Historia
When DS Royston Chase is called to the scene of a fatal road collision, his task is to identify the girl who died alongside the ex-chief constable of Wiltshire Police. Paired with the bold and strident DC Claire Laney, Chase is given the task of closing the case quickly and quietly. But when the girl’s DNA provides a familial link to a child who vanished from her home 20 years earlier, Chase and Laney refuse to accept the coincidence. The pair start looking harder at the ex-cop’s life, at which point they encounter serious opposition. Perhaps deadly serious.

DISAPPOINTING!!!
Revisado: 11-04-21
For anyone who enjoys the DCI Craig Gillard series I wouldn't recommend this one AT ALL. Not an overall bad story in of itself but one that eventually took the easy way out by insinuating nearly everyone but the perpetrators were stupid and gullible. Gillard is nothing more than an impotent side character in his own story and the ending of The Body on the Moor was ridiculously unbelievable. So, so, so disappointing!!!!

Historia
DCI Craig Gillard will be pushed to his limits. But will he break? It seems like a routine disappearance, a case of musician’s stage fright. As a senior detective, Craig Gillard isn’t sure why he’s even involved. Until it turns out the woman’s father is the German minister of justice, and the British home secretary is on the case, too. But nothing about the case is simple. How does a woman on a train simply vanish? What do you do when a trail runs cold and the pressure is on? Before long the perpetrator has another target: DCI Gillard himself.

One of Nick Louth’s best DCI Gilllard books
Revisado: 03-03-21
Love the DCI Craig Gillard character and have listened to many of the books but this was one of the best so far. Great plot with many layers and twists all seamlessly woven together with wonderful narration. A gripping book hard to put down. Highly recommend.

Historia
A dead man walks into a police station. He tells a tale - bizarre as it is grotesque - of kidnap and organ harvesting. John Baden's story of being held prisoner for 12 years sounds far-fetched - but it's all about to get much, much stranger. DI Ben Westphall has been given the case because of his background in MI6. He also has a knack for getting inside people's heads and seeing things others would miss. Westphall is no ordinary detective, and this is no ordinary case.

Rambling story and dull characters
Revisado: 11-21-20
The way this book was promoted was misleading. Not enough time spent on the mystery/story and a lot of time spent on endless back stories and a ridiculous amount of existential angst and philosophical ramblings from the lead detective which got in the way of the story for me. This book is not for anybody looking for a traditional mystery. disappointing!

Historia
Glacier National Park police officer Monty Harris knows that each summer at least one person - be it a reckless, arrogant climber or a distracted hiker - will meet tragedy in the park. But Paul "Wolfie" Sedgewick's fatal fall from the sheer cliffs near Going-to-the-Sun Road is incomprehensible. Wolfie was an experienced and highly regarded wildlife biologist who knew all too well the perils that Glacier's treacherous terrain presents - and how to avoid them.

Disappointing
Revisado: 11-21-19
Feel misled by the title as it was more about the main character Katie's issues than "an absolutely gripping crime thriller." I found it unbelievable and unrealistic from finding the body to the final chapter and grew weary of Katie and her issues very quickly in. Wouldn't recommend it.
