Historia
Chris Watts was a family man. Everybody, including his family, believed that. Yet, on August 13, 2018, he murdered Shanann, his pregnant wife, and two young daughters. As terrible as his story is, it is also a warning because to this day, living behind bars, Watts is still acting out the character traits that made him kill in the first place.

It was so hard to get used to the narrator's voice. She sounded so much like a robot that I almost quit and exchanged this book.

Historia
A canny young woman is struggling to survive by perpetrating various levels of mostly harmless fraud. On a rainy April morning, she is reading auras at Spiritual Palms when Susan Burke walks in. A keen observer of human behavior, our unnamed narrator immediately diagnoses beautiful, rich Susan as an unhappy woman eager to give her lovely life a drama injection. However, when the "psychic" visits the eerie Victorian home that has been the source of Susan’s terror and grief, she realizes she may not have to pretend to believe in ghosts anymore.

Warning: This is a short story!
Revisado: 10-07-18
This is a great short story. I was washing my truck and need some quickly when my previous book ended. I was so excited for new Gillian Flynn! So excited! This was good BUT it ended right as it was begining. It is a great little story but I was disappointed it was so brief.

Kate Sedgwick's life has been anything but typical. She's endured hardship and tragedy, but throughout it all she remains happy and optimistic (there's a reason her best friend, Gus, calls her Bright Side). Kate is strong willed, funny, smart, and musically gifted. She's also never believed in love. So when Kate leaves San Diego to attend college in the small town of Grant, Minnesota, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with Keller Banks.

A young adult novel not just for young adults
Revisado: 03-25-17
My husband overheard me listening to this and remarked on how it sounded too young for me and I agreed but something made it impossible for me to stop listening to it. The characters are just so easy to love! I really enjoyed how the author gave the characters realistic sounding dialogue. When characters don't speak like real people it is much harder for me to connect with them. This was one of the deepest easy listening books I have found in a long time.

I bet Faye Resnick loves this book!
Revisado: 02-26-17
Faye Resnick loves this because she can actually hold a book up and say "See, I am not the lowest scummiest sell-out non-writer "author" of all time!" I decided to listen to this because with the recent decade anniversary of Anna Nicole's death it sparked an interest in me to know more about such an interesting and larger than life person. I would never call her a role model or a person anyone should want to emulate, but goodness gracious, she is someone you can't help but be intrigued by. I feel like we got to see most of the good, the bad, and the ugly with Anna Nicole through Anna Nicole herself so I don't know what possessed her half sister to so eagerly and joyfully remind us of all the bad in Anna Nicole's life. Then, as if the bad isn't bad enough, she adds to the story her own jaded perspective and surely more than a few colorful lies. What a jealous woman! I am almost offended that she assumes we as readers can't see past her passive aggressive self promoting insecure jealous BS! Who has time to worry about wicked stepsisters when you have this horrible half sister to contend with? Donna Hogan is obviously trying hard to disenchant us with the ever enchanting Anna Nicole and to gain our sympathies for herself, but it just backfired on her. This book made me even more compassionate toward Anna Nicole. It is apparent that Donna Hogan doesn't understand that you have to be super famous to follow Anna's mantra that any press is good press. If you are a nobody then writing such a horrible posthumous book about someone just gives you fifteen minutes of looking like a huge CENSORED. Also, I am confused on who actually narrated this book. There is an Englishwomen in the beginning but then a woman with a southern drawl, whom is eagerly trying to sound like Anna Nicole, takes over. At one point it sounded like she accidentally BELCHED! This is just a piece of trash, but if you enjoy celebrity gossip you will probably think this is a fun listen. I don't regret listening to it but I sure hope that woman doesn't get a dime for it.

Historia
In this brave and moving memoir, Corey Feldman is revealing the truth about what his life was like behind the scenes: His is a past that included physical, drug, and sexual abuse, a dysfunctional family from which he was emancipated at age fifteen, three high-profile arrests for drug possession, a nine-month stint in rehab, and a long, slow crawl back to the top of the box office.

It is definatly a book for fans of 80s movies.
Revisado: 02-17-16
I think 1985 was the best year and film and Corey Feldman was a huge part of that. I liked hearing all the behind the scenes stories. I am sure they are one sided, but I enjoyed them none the less. His narration is comically dramatic at times and he takes no responsibility for anything; seriously, nothing is ever his own fault, but I still came out liking him. It was a fun listen.

This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.

Historia
In 1987, Miri Ammerman returns to her hometown of Elizabeth, New Jersey, to attend a commemoration of the worst year of her life. Thirty-five years earlier, when Miri was 15, and in love for the first time, a succession of airplanes fell from the sky, leaving a community reeling. Against this backdrop of actual events that Blume experienced in the early 1950s, when airline travel was new and exciting and everyone dreamed of going somewhere, she paints a vivid portrait of a particular time and place....

I bet a better read than a listen.
Revisado: 06-28-15
I was excited that a new Judy Blume book was out. I grew up reading all of her stuff and just adore the great author. There were a lot of characters in this book, and like so many multi-character books, it is hard to distinguish who is whom when listening. I think this would be a better book to read than listen to and plan on reading it in the future. It is an interesting story and not like anything else I have heard lately. There aren't a lot of fresh new storylines and this one is a real gem.

I am ashamed I enjoyed this!!!
Revisado: 06-28-15
The Walking Dead books are my guilty pleasure. You know, something with no literary value, but you just really just enjoy listening to. This book isn't even intelligent enough to fall into my guilty pleasure category! I am actually kind of ashamed I enjoyed it so much! Holly Madison is her own biggest fan, and she will tell you about it for hours and hours in this memoir. She was always my least favorite GND, but now, I think she is lipstick (and a big boob job) on a skinny runt of a pig. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! This gal has the audacity to mother-F almost everyone that she ever used as a stepping stone in her B-- career. I can't lie though, I did enjoy all the BS! Holly and I are the same age (or at least the age she claims to be) so this pop culture phenomenon is from my generation. I had a go as a Hooters Girl and a swimsuit model, and I related to the way she described her early days doing the same. So that being said, there was something in me that always enjoyed GND. They were enjoying my same lifestyle but on a much more grandiose scale! I grew up and left that all behind so this book transported me to a time and place that will never be again. I enjoyed that so much and thank Holly for the instant time machine, BUT I am leaving this book with absolutely no respect for her. Throughout the book she will try and convince you that she was a victim but her calculating ways always manage to shine through. She is like a junior high girl in the way she blames everyone else for every single bad choice she made. Just own it, girl! Plus, at our age, it is really in poor taste to talk about others the way she did throughout her book. And to all of those who thought Madonna had the absolute worst fake English accent ever SURPRISE!!! You know the feeling, the one where your skin crawls because you are embarrassed for someone? Well, you will get it every time she introduces a new chapter using it. All that being said, if you are curious at all about this lifestyle, you will never regret spending this book credit!

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

A painfully beautiful novel!
Revisado: 05-19-15
I have loved all of Kristin Hannah's books. I have always found her books to be moving and poignant, and she never fails to bring you full circle. She most often leaves you with chills and tears of happiness. So many writers start off strong and then slowly fade in each new novel released. This is not true with Hannah. Her works get more and more incredible in time. Just when you think she has exceded all expectations, she brings it with another incredible novel and Nightingale may be her greatest book yet! I think every single self righteous young person should read this book. People have become complacent and entitled, and this book reminds you of the hardships that our freedoms and luxuries were built upon. There is a reason why these people are called "The Greatest Generation" and this book is a perfect explanation of why. This book makes you examine your own life and wonder if you could truly make it in a time when all the odds were stacked up against you. This is a must read!

Revisado: 05-11-15
I was one of the lucky children that got a chance to see Shamu at Sea World. From that day on I wanted to be an Orca Trainer. I had always been such a fan of Sea World, but to my surprise, I was not shocked by Blackfish and I didn't find the allegations hard to believe. I quickly became a fan of everyone who came forth to tell the truth. My husband over heard me listening to this book and told me it sounded like I was listening to an educational audio. I explained to him that this book is not only educational but it is also a rare gift. Whale trainers are a rare breed. It is a job that a lot people have dreamt of having but only a very select few actually got to do. The trainers that worked with the Orcas doing water shows really could be going extinct. This is a great non-fiction, and it is not just for people who want to live vicariously through John Hargrove's stories. This is a great book about dreams, dedication, passion, and also finding out that getting everything that you want can turn out to be something you really don't want all. Hargrove is so brave. He made his dreams come true and then, after realizing how wrong it all was, had to turn on his own kind to get the truth out there. What is going on is wrong, and he is willing to go the distance to explain just how wrong it is.
