1,000 thumbs up!
Revisado: 10-12-18
Man, this book is a trip. It's quick and dirty with some pretty funny parts and equally sick parts. Im a big fan of high tension, gooey bloody horror so this was perfect for me. The narrator is good too. She does a good job with the different voices and keeping the scenes intense.

Solid fantasy story
Revisado: 07-04-18
Solid fantasy story in a steampunky/fantasy setting. Followed three stories with the main character. The erotica wasn't forced in the story and felt like a more natural occurrence. Would prefer to see the story fleshed out into a full novel though as the world building was pretty solid with some tweaking and rewriting.
Narration was pretty solid and there was some nice diversity in the voices between characters. Dialogue was interesting and had emotion behind it. The quality was pretty high and I don't recall any issue with the sound in terms of editing. I thought that was pretty impressive given some other books out there in this genre.

Historia
For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

Awesome book, good performance.
Revisado: 10-12-17
I gave this book a shot and was pleasantly surprised. The setting feel amazing and a lot of tabletop fans will find a familiar nerdy vibe from the worldbuilding.
I was worried at first about the voice performance, but overall it was very good. i was on the fence because the sample had an annoying line that was uncharacteristically loud. This for the most part is not the case fkr the rest of the book.

Skeptical; pleasantly surprised
Revisado: 10-09-17
I was skeptical over this book as I generally avoid tutorial, self-help, or anything outside fiction for my pleasure reading. Jack Schafer massively surprised me though with this book.
The light combination of factual research backed up by many amusing stories from his, and his colleagues, histories allowed for an amusing and informative experience. I believe nearly all of his methods are valuable in everyday situation. Perhaps not to the extremes as he suggest, although they are not beyond believe, but they certainly seem to be an effective starting point.
I'd highly suggest reading this book if you've had difficulty establishing rapport with strangers or developing relationships. Schafer is very effective and straight forward in explaining concepts and presents them simply enough to be effective immediately.
Most importantly...
I wanted more of his Ex-FBI stories because they were just plain interesting and wild. I ended this book craving more of these strange little tableaus he set up. Even if they weren't jam packed full of action like much fiction is, they were amusing and engaging. I was highly impressed by the overall writing.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Lovecraft for a contemporary listener
Revisado: 10-09-17
I wouldn't claim to be an expert in Lovecraft, but I have read a decent chunk of his stories. Peter Clines managed to construct a very well paced story with vibes and a universe extremely reminiscent of Lovecraft. Many Lovecraft fans would note that there are striking similarities and a much loved absence of of the worse point of Lovecraft. Effective the vibe is a very realistic world that hides dire secrets, forgotten people, and rats in the walls.

Continuing on with Nikita Storm
Revisado: 03-19-16
Where does Hucow the Moo Cow rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I don't think I would list them over all of the audiobooks I've listened to. If I were to narrow the list to only those that are in the erotica and romance short narratives I'd put it very high. I'd say it would at least be second on the list, possibly a contender for top. It's hard to say.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the tension of the narrative and the variety of voice talent present. It brought an added depth. The story was simple and an easy listen.
What about Peter Stewart’s performance did you like?
The voice actors talent was fantastic. They really brought life to the characters and it felt as if there was a bit more depth to them than the short narrative established.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes.
Any additional comments?
This audiobook is a great add to that section of your audiobook list. I thought it was a really good purchase and make a 20-30 minute car ride in the morning way less boring. Almost don't even need to bring my coffee in the morning. Lol

Excellent erotica
Revisado: 03-19-16
If you could sum up Maid to Change in three words, what would they be?
Sensual, tantalizing, and a fantastic listen are the words that I would throw in the air off the top of my head.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Maid to Change?
When the dynamics between the main character and the maid begin to change, the moment was tense and at a urging cusp.
What does Peter Stewart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
In my personal opinion I find erotica/romance to be more greatly elevated when in an audiobook form. I know some people prefer to be able to read this type of book in the secluded privacy of their own mind, but I find it most tantalizing to do so while driving or with earbuds. Peter Stewart manages to bring an added level of sensual seduction that enhances the narrative.
If you could take any character from Maid to Change out to dinner, who would it be and why?
I would take the maid out as she was an interesting character that hints at a most interesting dinner and coffee after.
Any additional comments?
This is an excellent story to add to your audio collection if you enjoy this type of material. A lot of other narrated books in this category fall short with unenthusiastic talent and poor editing.

The lights above the Arby's are aligned
Revisado: 01-04-16
What did you love best about Welcome to Night Vale?
This was the Nightvale team's first attempt into the novel medium and it is as much of a stunning impact as their podcast series. The humor, character depth, and contemporary and progressive views of the human condition are mixed in with the crazy little desert town of Nightvale. I loved how much the novel felt like the podcast, despite the longer length, without compromising what is best about the source material; the proper balance of humor and satire.
What other book might you compare Welcome to Night Vale to and why?
Welcome to Night Vale is hard to compare because of the unusual genre it fills. It feels like much of the pacing and satire can be compared to authors such as Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett, yet the material gets surprisingly dark and chilling at times. What Joseph Fink and the Night Vale team does bring is a fantastic cast of characters that is inclusive and representative of many contemporary social issues without pinning them in grotesque display. I think that they have managed to exceed as the lead in creative media in this aspect.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
As many who are familiar with the podcasts know the source material is exclusively done in a pseudo-radio show style. Although the Night Vale team, as well as my self, would encourage others to read more there is a certain authenticity that comes from the audio book. The voice actors bring home many characters and help deepen the emotional connection to their every day lives.
If you could rename Welcome to Night Vale, what would you call it?
I don't think you could rename Welcome to Night Vale. Those short collection of words encapsulate the try oddity that is the world Night Vale is built in. Any change would be ill-fitting and out of place and plastered on inappropriately.

Historia
Having landed his first job in six months, John was worried about fitting in. Whenever he'd pass by his co-workers they'd moo at him. He had no idea why, but he figured it was just an office joke. They also told him that the last four employees of his position had quit after a week. That scared the crap out him. His new boss was a very attractive, red-haired cougar with long legs and large breasts. Why would they all quit?

Excellent erotica
Revisado: 01-04-16
Would you consider the audio edition of My Boss Is My Hucow to be better than the print version?
I found the voice talent in this audio book brought a greater life and depth to the story. The talent managed to bring a sultry passion to the narrative that brought out the characters effectively.
What did you like best about this story?
The whimsical and upturned narrative of a seemingly normal corporate setting was engaging for, at the core, is a simple and effective erotica narrative. It was easily engaging and captivating.
Which scene was your favorite?
I enjoyed the moment in which John, the main protagonist, was aware of the depth of perversity of his new boss. Despite the fear and ridicule that was present in the office environment he responded how I feel many millennials would... a devil-may-care might as well strap in for the roller coaster ride adventure into the dredges of human sexuality.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Moo.
Any additional comments?
I found the audio book to be most enjoyable and would recommend it for otherwise long and boring car rides.
