Historia
On the treacherous streets of Riverside, a man lives and dies by the sword. Even the nobles on the Hill turn to duels to settle their disputes. Within this elite, dangerous world, Richard St. Vier is the undisputed master, as skilled as he is ruthless--until a death by the sword is met with outrage instead of awe, and the city discovers that the line between hero and villain can be altered in the blink of an eye.

Any additional comments?
I know a lot of people who really enjoyed this story. I don't think it was for me. I was bored for most of it and didn't like most of the characters. While I thought Ellen did a fantastic job of narrating it, I wasn't a fan of the background noises and other actors speaking some, but not all the parts. It would have been better to only have one narrator reading the story and no extra sound effects. But, that's just me.

Historia
In Nazi-occupied Paris, most Frenchmen tread warily, but gay nightclub singer Yves Lacroix puts himself in the spotlight with every performance. As a veteran of France's doomed defense, a survivor of a prison camp, and a "degenerate", he knows he's a target. His comic stage persona disguises a shamed, angry heart and gut-wrenching fear for a sister embedded in the Resistance.

Fantastic WWII love story
Revisado: 05-03-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Nightingale to be better than the print version?
There is no print version at this time. That said, the audiobook was fantastic. The story was great and the narrator was fabulous! He was so nice and easy to listen to, I hope to hear him do other books in the future.
Any additional comments?
While Aleks insists this is NOT a romance, there is a love story in it, which is beautifully told amid the backdrop of Nazi occupied Paris.

Revisado: 01-02-16
Would you consider the audio edition of GhosTV to be better than the print version?
Both are great.
What was one of the most memorable moments of GhosTV?
The red cord scene, of course. So freakin' sweet and awesome.
Which character – as performed by Gomez Pugh – was your favorite?
Vic.
If you could take any character from GhosTV out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Vic, Jacob and Lisa. I would love to just be with them as a friend.

Fantastic read!
Revisado: 09-01-15
Where does Incursion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Very near the top.
What other book might you compare Incursion to and why?
Not an M/M romance, but this reminded me of Retribution Falls by Chris Wooding because it's about a rag tag crew on a space ship taking jobs as they can. Yeah, like Firefly too. Only Incursion involves some nice gay romance, which the others are sorely lacking.
Have you listened to any of Gomez Pugh’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes and he's amazing in everything he does!
Any additional comments?
You can't go wrong with Aleks as a writer or with Gomez as a narrator. This book made me want more stories about these characters, which I hear might be a possibility in the future. :-)

Historia
Shy tattoo artist Ash has a troubled past. Years of neglect, drug abuse, and life on the streets have taken their toll, and sometimes it seems the deep, unspoken bond with his lover is the only balm for wounds he doesn't quite understand. Paramedic Pete is warmth, love, and strength - things Ash never knew he could have, and never even knew he wanted until Pete showed him. But fate is a cruel, cruel mistress, and when nightmares collide with the present, their tentatively built world comes crashing down.

Personal thoughts: I liked this book. I'd read the ebook before listening to the audio. It's a bit dark, but I like dark stories. Though I almost wish the ending hadn't been just a summary of the following year. It makes it hard to see how/where book 2 will fit in. The narrator would have been perfect if he hadn't decided to add the sound effects of everyone sighing and taking deep breaths and such, even when it's written in the book. So he says he's going to take a deep breath, and then he takes the extra time to do it. It was a little irritating. But otherwise, I really enjoyed his style, and I thought he had a great voice for the two main characters and their friends.

Personal thoughts: I would love to know more about these characters after this story takes place. I love this book because of the heavy mystery plot, and the fact that the romance is subtle, but there. I love the two MCs, and the whole 3-D cast of interesting characters that go along with them. The narrator does a fantastic job getting everything right.
