They've survived, and they've leveled, but new levels also bring new problems. Izril is still facing turmoil as nobles fight and squabble while Liscor breathes again and heals, trying to find a new way forward. The best cure for dark days? Games! And none know it better than the oldest adventurers, who've lived through countless struggles.

The World is the Main Character!
Revisado: 11-24-23
This freaking story is just cream of the crop when it comes to character development and world building. Also, narration is just out of this world. Now we just gotta hurry up and wait for the next one.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Got to be a kid again!
Revisado: 10-25-23
This book is insanely good, love the stuff with the kids. Especially love the groundwork laid that becomes The Dark Tower. The narration is one of the best performances. Forget the movies and miniseries, they barely scratched the surface of this story.

Here come the tears
Revisado: 09-21-23
Reading this book you know right off the bat you are gonna hear or read so much hate and vitriol for this book from people who thought Covid was fake and voted for Trump lol. It’s a good story and I enjoyed Justine Lupe’s performance. Took a bit of getting used to after five Holly stories narrated by Will Patton but it was a good time. Now go cry in your soup ya big Covid denying cry babies. Long days and pleasant nights!

Keeps getting better and good narration
Revisado: 07-16-23
Been enjoying the series from the start. It’s getting better each book and unless I’m crazy the characters started cussing a bit where they were saying stuff like Nether before, I guess because they are getting older. The narration for this is pretty dang good and I dig the way he is able to throw a decent range of accents out there.

Had to force myself to finish
Revisado: 01-24-23
Easily the weakest Robinson book I’ve tackled. We get it, Henry isn’t scared of anything didn’t need to be reminded a thousand times. And I gotta say, the narration wasn’t so great, never really noticed before but all the voices dude does sound identical whether they be male or female. I forced myself to finish so I could continue down the Infinite timeline, hope this is the only bust. I’ve enjoyed the others, this one not so much.

Often considered to be one of the most famous pieces by Edgar Allan Poe, 'The Raven' is a poem recounting the descent into madness of a young man lamenting the loss of his lover. This spellbinding performance by Dominic West (The Wire, The Affair) lures the listener into the depths of the protagonist’s despair.

The book is awesome as a read but Frank Muller took it to a whole other level of the Tower ;)
Muller was a national treasure, bummer he got in that accident. Highly recommend checking this out.

Good story
Revisado: 10-25-20
My only problem was the lack of pause when they switched scenes. All the sudden a different character in a different location was talking and it took a moment or two to realize it was a scene shift. Pretty sure that falls on the person running the recording sessions. Good story and narration though...Drew Hayes stories are always a good time.

Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes.
