Great stories to listen to with my toddler!
Revisado: 12-26-24
We had fun listening to "Let's Discover and Learn." The performance was entertaining, as the narrator used different voices and expressive inflections. Some of our favorite stories were "The Perfect Shape" and "Millie's Special Treasures." My son really got into it. We made the shapes story more interactive by drawing the shapes as we listened. He also has some wooden shapes, which he brought to me a few times as they were mentioned in the story. We also enjoyed "Millie's Special Treasures" since we have musical instruments in the house, and my son is starting to take an interest in them.
I was surprised at how well these stories kept his attention. He was doing other things while we listened, but he would point at the shapes or bring them to me when asked, "What shape did she say this house is?" I like the idea of this type of audiobook since it provides a nice break from all the visual stimulation he gets. Great find!

Such a useful workbook!
Revisado: 12-24-24
I love the structure of this workbook. The exercises are simple, thoughtful, and result-oriented.
I appreciated finding exercises that quickly address issues I am currently experiencing. For example, I've been procrastinating on organizing my home office space. I recently upgraded my desk setup, which is awesome, but I left my office a bit unorganized and kept putting it off. I used the technique in Exercise 93, about decluttering a space in Chapter 11, to tackle it step by step. I started with a five-minute timer to get going and gradually increased the time spent clearing out the space. This method works.
The three bonuses included are great, especially the 30-day challenge.

Helpful resource to check before moving to Spain
Revisado: 11-25-24
This guide is excellent! It was both interesting and informative. I enjoyed learning about Spanish culture and what to expect as a resident of Spain. The book is very thorough, and I recommend that anyone looking to move or retire to Spain should listen to it first. It covers details about different regions, transportation, healthcare, finances, residency, taxes, and estate planning, to mention a few. It includes many essential details for setting yourself up properly from the start. You don't want to relocate to Spain without knowing everything you need and finding out the hard way.

This book is awesome! There is some really good advice about managing friendships, handling finances, and building confidence that every teen and many adults need to hear.
I liked the chapter on cooking because that is such a useful skill to have when transitioning to adulthood. I will absolutely recommend this to the teenagers and young adults in my life.

An authentic look at handling grief!
Revisado: 11-21-24
I found the author's authentic and personal account of his grief journey extremely insightful. I commend him for having the strength to share his experiences, enabling others to better manage their own. He noted that everyone's grief journey may look different and emphasized that each person will have a unique experience when coping with loss. I believe this understanding will greatly help those who may not comprehend their feelings at the time.
I also appreciate that he covered the stages of grief, highlighting that there is no particular order to them, which I absolutely agree with. While I have not experienced a loss as significant as the author, I still have my own level of grief that I am working through, and this book helped me understand that it is a journey.
