I enjoy these iMind audios. But this was was absolutely terrible. The music was way too loud and too distracting. I couldn't focus on what was being said at all.

Historia
The adventures of Laura Ingalls and her family continue as Pa, Ma, Laura, Mary, Carrie, and little Grace bravely face the hard winter of 1880-81 in their little house in the Dakota Territory. Blizzards cover the little town with snow, cutting off all supplies from the outside. Soon there is almost no food left, so young Almanzo Wilder and a friend make a dangerous trip across the prairie to find some wheat. Finally a joyous Christmas is celebrated in a very unusual way in this most exciting of all the Little House books.

Great series
Revisado: 04-24-25
This entire series is amazing. I don't know why so many people complain about the fiddle music. It helps make these books more unique from other audiobooks. And people complaining about the narrator's singing is silly. She's a narrator, not a singer. She does perfectly fine.
This specific book did have some teeny lags in the audio though. Almost like it's got bugs or something and needs to be re-uploaded into Audible's system. They aren't anything major though.

Historia
These words, spoken to Brian Robeson, will change his life. Two years earlier, Brian was stranded alone in the wilderness for 54 days with nothing but a small hatchet. Yet he survived. Now the government wants him to go back into the wilderness so that astronauts and the military can learn the survival techniques that kept Brian alive. Soon the project backfires, though, leaving Brian with a wounded partner and a long river to navigate. His only hope is to build a raft and try to transport the injured man a hundred miles downstream to a trading post - if the map he has is accurate.

The first book was amazing. And this book was really good until the ending. The ending felt rushed and just suddenly ended. This book wasn't nearly as good as the previous one.

Interesting but...
Revisado: 04-18-25
This was really interesting. But it's not politically correct. This was published in 2024. Natives aren't referred to as "Indians" anymore. And the author was also biased by saying that witches and ghosts don't exist. This book was also narrated by a virtual voice. And this is the first virtual voice that actually sounded good.

Which country separates the United States of America from Central America? Where, on average, do people eat half a kilo of tortillas every day? And, where is home to the cactus and the Chihuahua? Mexico, of course! Mexico, or the United States of Mexico, is a federation of 31 sovereign states. Its land mass is almost three times that of Texas, which it borders. In fact, Mexico is the world’s 14th largest nation.

Historia
Procrastination is an almost universal human experience. While many people attribute procrastination to laziness or a lack of drive, our real motivations to push back and delay important activities and decisions are more complicated than personal weakness. The truth is that humans are well-adapted for basic survival, but they are not so great at managing the stresses and expectations of modern life without a little help.

Historia
Told from four-year-old Laura's point of view, this story begins in 1871 in a little log cabin on the edge of the Big Woods of Wisconsin. Laura lives in the little house with her pa, her ma, her sisters Mary and Carrie, and their trusty dog, Jack. Pioneer life is sometimes hard for the family, since they must grow or catch all their own food as they get ready for the cold winter. But it is also exciting as Laura and her family celebrate Christmas with homemade toys and treats, do the spring planting, bring in the harvest, and make their first trip into town.

great book
Revisado: 03-03-25
This is a great book. The narrator is great. There's music added and that's always super neat. I know that it was from the time period, but this book does have a slur mentioned a couple of times in one of the songs that Pa sings.. So just keep that in mind. Especially since this is a children's book.

disappointed
Revisado: 03-03-25
I don't know why this book is one of the most recommended books in the polyamory community. I didn't learn anything new that I haven't read in other polyamory books. This book isn't bad, isn't just way overhyped. The author also narrated it. And the narration was too soft spoken and boring. It made it hard to stay focused.
