Historia
Imagine getting out of the bath and finding blood in four of your six rooms. That’s not the plot of a B-movie. That’s real life. There’s a reason you’re drawn to horror films, and they’re not as far-fetched as you thought. FBI data shows that four out of 10 homicides and six out of 10 rapes go unsolved, and this isn’t just down to shoddy police work or a failing system. Sometimes, there just is no rational explanation. Strange things happen every day, and many of them are never reported. But then, many of them don’t end in horror.

Not Horror Stories
Revisado: 04-05-20
Although interesting, these stories fall short of what I would consider true horror stories. The narrator was almost robotic in his telling of the stories lacking anything that remotely sounds like emotion.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Amazing Performance and Awesomely Scary!
Revisado: 07-04-18
The movie It has always been a favorite of mine from my childhood but I shied away from reading the book because of its daunting size (the paperback always looked enormous to me!). I found It on audible right around the time of the release of the new movie and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. This book scared the hell out of me (Pet Cemetery is the only other book that has scared me in my 25+ years of reading horror and suspense). The story is laid out as now and then with interludes of history of the town of Derry. King’s writing makes the reader able to actually see and almost hear what he is describing. The story itself was great but the performance by Steve Weber is what really drove the whole thing home for me. His commanding voice brought the story to life and may have made it a bit more scary as well. One of the best performances for me to date, awesome book and awesome performance, It is a must listen!
