Great series!

Each book in this series, was as good as the last. Some were more emotional than others, pulling on the heartstrings, especially with the relationship of Kelton and his dog, Azreal. I was sad to finish the series, and not have them to read about anymore. The virtual narration did a very good job as far as virtual goes. It was funny at times to hear some interpretations of was being read where I could tell what the author wrote but how the computer saw it. There’ve been some I turned off, right away, just couldn’t listen to. So, try these books out, I think you’ll enjoy them if you like K9 stories.

This story really took me for a ride, with its ups and downs and twists and turns. The author wove the story so well. And the narrator did a great job telling it!

I felt tense thru out most of this book with a knot in my stomach, afraid how this could work out. And disgust with some of the characters with what they can get by with.
This is another of Box’s great stories. A page turner if you are reading it.

Every one of the books in Box’s Joe Pickett series has kept me engaged thru out the story, with each book as good as the last. They are well written stories and told by an excellent narrator.

Hard to stop listening

Winterkill is the 2nd book I’ve listened to by C. J. Box. It would be hard to lay this book down if I was reading it, but I was listening to it and was difficult to turn it off. This Joe Pickett series has pulled me in with the crimes that Joe,as a Game Warden, has had to solve. Box pulls you in with his superb writing and the narrator does a fine job of bringing the story to life. I will definitely read more of C. J. Box’s books.

This was my first book to listen to by CJ Box. Kept my interest all the way thru. I plan to continue to check out more of this series. I was also pleased with the narrator. He dud a good job.

Mystery mixed with comedy

This is my first box set to listen to of Jasmine Webb’s the Charlotte Gibson Mysteries and I enjoyed it. A young lady without any money nor any idea of what she’s going to do with her life. After an incident at the jewelry store where she worked got robbed and she ended up having to kill the guy who was trying to kill her. This guy, ended up being the brother of very bad men. After receiving a severed finger in the mail, she fled back to Hawaii, where she grew up and her mother and her childhood bestie still lived.
She hears of a quick way to earn $100,000 by just solving a murder case of a rich man from NY who she had just served at the ice cream shop she was working at.
She is untrained in anything, but decides she can figure it out. She meets up with 2 senior ladies who are also trying to solve this murder mystery, more for the fun than money. These 3 ladies are quick witted and strong willed. They take u on quite a ride at times. My favorite book was the 3rd one, Beachside Bullet, where Rose makes a hilarious “distraction “ while they work on a mystery at the hardware store, so Charli can plant her spyware. It is priceless!
All 3 books were entertaining. I’m sure I will read more of their capers soon. Check them out.

A great listen!

I thought I wasn’t going to like this story thinking it was starting slow, but was glad I continued to listen. This book was well written with many twists and hidden details to be discovered by a couple of competitive journalists. With the couples back stories and working together to uncover the truth, both grew to understand their differences and/or likenesses. It’s a great story and the awesome narration added to its appeal! I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
