The abnormal use of the word "dash".
Revisado: 01-08-25
I don't like the inconsistent use of the word "dash" in this book series. Even using the context of the word you can't tell what it is being used as.

Good story line
Revisado: 01-10-24
This series has a very good story line.
Whomever is performing the vocal accents needs to lay off the "dracula" accent.

Historia
Danny North is the first Gate Mage to be born on Earth in nearly 2,000 years, or at least the first to survive and claim his power, for families of Westil in exile on Earth have a treaty that requires the death of any suspected Gate Mage. The wars between the families had been terrible until at last they realized it was their own survival in question. But a Gate Mage, one who could build a Great Gate back to Westil, would give his own family a terrible advantage over all the others and reignite the wars. So it was decided that they all had to die.

Does Card ever write a book or series that does not have his Mormon beliefs thinnly veiled in it?

Historia
Leland Gaunt opens a new shop in Castle Rock called Needful Things. Anyone who enters his store finds the object of his or her lifelong dreams and desires: a prized baseball card, a healing amulet. In addition to a token payment, Gaunt requests that each person perform a little "deed", usually a seemingly innocent prank played on someone else from town. These practical jokes cascade out of control, and soon the entire town is doing battle with itself. Only Sheriff Alan Pangborn suspects that Gaunt is behind the population's increasingly violent behavior.

Having the author read the story gave the words EXACTLY the feel that they are supposed to have. The production was excellent.

Historia
Everyone knows dragons have been extinct for over 1,000 years. Everyone is wrong. At least one dragon remains, and military scientists from the Cofah Empire are experimenting with its blood, using the magical substance to power deadly new weapons that could be used to bring the world to its knees. That's a concern for Zirkander, Cas, and the rest of the Iskandians, but all Tolemek wants is to find his missing sister.

Historia
The unapologetic intensity with which Emily Brontë wrote this story ensures that it will forever be considered one of the greatest works of English literature. A passionate tale of a chaotic and often violent love, Wuthering Heights transcends your average romance and, with its Gothic undertones, takes the listener on a journey through one man's lustful hunt for revenge.

Not believable
Revisado: 12-14-22
Yes, it is believable that the foundling falls in love with the daughter of the man that found him.
Yes, it is believable that even though said daughter loves the foundling also, that she breaks his heart by chosing money over love, and the foundling leaves.
No, it is NOT believable that the rightful owner and his heirs allow the returned foundling to take over their land and estate. This particularly violent family would have killed the returning foundling and hid his body in the bogs.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard.
