Very good and engaging but the "ending" (last few chapters actually, when the reveal happens) really ruins it. They could have taken it in so many great directions but somehow chose a very, very bad one.

Great performance, as always, by Richard Armitage. That's pretty much the only positive of this book. The plot is weak. Story is dragging, bordering on boring, disjointed and all over the place, with lots of random characters with implausible motivations and actions - feels more like he tried to fill in the pages as the "main story" was so flimsy. The characters are probably the weakest point - either unlikable or uninteresting. I will skip the tv show as well as a result, I doubt they could have improved much on such a source material.

Difficult to follow as a result. Struggled to get through it. Too much back and forth and too many characters and dream/imagined sequences you have to keep uo with and end up invested in none. Geneva was way, way, way better. The performaces are amazing though.

Starts off by stating how the society, patriarchy and almost everybody else want to have women conform to a standard and the norm they think it's right. Then the author proceeds to find faults and point out defects in almost all women archietypes under the sun and presents or hints (obviously as the desired state) how she thinks women should embrace life.

A true gem in the multitude of self help books available out there. What stands out is the fact that this book addresses the core issues that usually sabotage going forward in life - the excuses we make for ourself. It exposes the (faulty) thought process for what it really is and inspires you to tackle them head on. Many thanks to the author. This was great indeed.

Starts off well, but turns into a mess filled with plot holes, unbelievable coincidences and useless sub-plots.
The narrator did a good job at least.
