Historia
If widowed town seamstress Nell Armstrong has to make one more pair of boring chaps for the cowboys in her tiny Wyoming town, she might lose her mind. So meeting Brand Nolte, a widower father struggling to raise three girls, seems like her dream come true. Brand has no idea how to dress the girls, and Nell finally has a chance to both create beautiful dresses and teach the girls to sew. But Nell is much more than a seamstress.

The repetition of reminders is annoying. We know...we know...WE KNOW!! You don't have to stuff us full of reminders before every scene that will play on facts we learned beforehand...we know!
Now for the suffragette movement and a strong female lead - great! I'm all for it. But um...is the simpy behavior for the male lead necessary? Why must the male leads in these books tear themselves down and proclaim that they're less-than, just to show that the female is strong? It's not entertaining and really comes off as lazy writing - an easy slap in to stuff the character arc - and most definitely takes from the movement struggling to be portrayed in this book.
Now let's mention the cookie-cutter outline of the plot. Gang bad - someone gets an owie and requires protection - filler and annoying repetition - leads spark - more filler and repetition - simp gets frightened and asks for marriage under a ridiculous reason - female lead flexes and declares "I won't, their will be no, I'm not---" - climax - let down.
-- anywho...on to the next in the series. No, I do not recommend.

Morgan, an elite track athlete, is forced to transfer high schools late in her senior year after it turns out being queer is against her private Catholic school's code of conduct. There, she meets Ruby, who has two hobbies: tinkering with her baby blue 1970 Ford Torino and competing in local beauty pageants, the latter to live out the dreams of her overbearing mother. The two are drawn to each other and can't deny their growing feelings.

Sluggish near the middle and end
Revisado: 12-12-24
Good characters, okay story. Far too much back and forth drama that slows it down. A few times I considered closing the app and pretending I never started it. Decent ending, I'd read a sequel if one ever dropped. Overall - meh.

Dreams of adventure send him across the country. She prefers to keep her feet firmly planted in Ohio. Rennie Hill has no illusions about the hardships in life, which is why it’s so important her beau, John Welch, keeps his secure job with the newspaper. Though he hopes to write fiction, the unsteady pay would mean an end to their plans, wouldn’t it? John Welch dreams of adventure worthy of storybooks, like Mark Twain, and when two of his short stories are published, he sees it as a sign of future success. But while he's dreaming big with his head in the clouds, his girl has her feet ...

I have to say, this was my favorite so far. It left me wanting more as the story came to an end, yet raised my hopes for the next. Is it Veronica's turn? I love how her talent was brought to light, and that last bit at the end? Terrific! Thank you, and I will keep an eye out for the next.

Harping on
Revisado: 04-06-24
A decent story if given more attention by the author. Without extra details within the story such as world building, more interactions between characters, etc, the "we didn't agree to more - no love - marriage of convenience" repetition became grating. Yes that is the whole point of the story, but it grew old very fast.

Very twisted and pushes you to the edge of your seat, wanting to hear more, to learn what happens next. While not for everyone, I highly recommend it.

I remember reading this back when it was new, on other fiction sites. Hearing it now gives it a new life, a fresh light. I am very happy for this author, and all they have accomplished. Looking forward to the next book, 4064.

I was not expecting this.
Revisado: 11-04-23
I selected this as a simple result from a Google search - long story and not the point. Anyway, I am extremely picky and easily distracted if the characters do not hook me right off the bat. I binged this, missed sleep, and struggled through the next working day because this story would not let me go. So many twists, hints dropped - I thought I was clever! Ha, kind of but not really. The ending twist! WOW, did not see that coming and I loved it.
