Historia
Caught behind the lines of Hitler's Final Solution, Saul Laski is one of the multitudes destined to die in the notorious Chelmno extermination camp. Until he rises to meet his fate and finds himself face to face with an evil far older, and far greater, than the Nazis themselves. Compelled by the encounter to survive at all costs, so begins a journey that for Saul will span decades and cross continents, plunging into the darkest corners of 20th century history to reveal a secret society of beings who may often exist behind the world's most horrible and violent events.

Historia
A century from now, thanks to a technology allowing instantaneous travel across light-years, humanity has solved its energy shortages, cleaned up the environment, and created far-flung colony worlds. The keys to this empire belong to the powerful North family - composed of successive generations of clones. Yet these clones are not identical. For one thing, genetic errors have crept in with each generation. For another, the original three clone "brothers" have gone their separate ways, and the branches of the family are now friendly rivals more than allies. Or maybe not so friendly....

Historia
When a human team is sent to scout a few hundred light-years in front of the death wave, it encounters a civilization far in advance of our own, a civilization of machine intelligences. These sentient, intelligent machines have existed for eons and have survived earlier "death waves" - gamma-ray bursts from the core of the galaxy. They are totally self-sufficient, completely certain that the death wave cannot harm them, and utterly uninterested in helping to save other civilizations.

The I.J.N. WEREN'T ALL POOR TACTICIANS JUST MOST
Revisado: 11-25-19
Reviews saying .. gives the enemy a human face or ..
Only due to America's industrial might.
A human face beaming with proud extreme xenophobia was America's industrial might a surprise?
Only to the xenophobic murderers.
Talk about courage America over flowed with it.
Being truly an automaton as the regular Japanese sailors were forced to be by their "betters" isn't brave one is conscripted told to shut up officers could and did on a whim beat them.
Brave?
The yamoto going out to do battle was considered brave...your kidding me.
They didn't get down the block before being faced with a massive sea tragedy.
Stupid and brave can be close bed fellows.
Nothing brave about it . Still ranks in the top ten of sea disasters..
Japan had one hell of a navy.but at some point due to a huge arrogance totally completely blew it...no radar?
Or hardly any?
Can't win many wars dying for the emperor. I really think that was a dodge made up by officers to incompetent to know what else to do.
I gave it a try but honestly it;s like listening to a fanatical nazis life, no thanks.
I regret this purchase and frankly see no regrets about that systems almost complete annihilation.
