Historia
Walt Longmire returns in this twentieth installment of the award-winning and bestselling series that has been a hit on both the page and the screen. Another good Walt Longmire story
Revisado: 03-22-25
Another good Walt Longmire story switching between 2 timelines - one in the 60s following him and Henry from college in California to enlist for Vietnam and another at a hearing in present day Wyoming. Both have misadventure, humor and action. How did Walt get to where he is today? What past events shaped him and is he really too tall to surf?

Historia
Out on the Yorkshire Moors lives a secret line of people for whom books are food, and who retain all of a book's content after eating it. To them, spy novels are a peppery snack; romance novels are sweet and delicious. Eating a map can help them remember destinations, and children, when they misbehave, are forced to eat dry, musty pages from dictionaries.

Interesting take

This was a great book with an interesting take on vampires and the supernatural. Another wonderful books set in England (I’ve been on a streak recently with British settings).

Historia
Beth and Jennifer know their company monitors their office email. But the women still spend all day sending each other messages, gossiping about their coworkers at the newspaper and baring their personal lives like an open book. Jennifer tells Beth everything she can't seem to tell her husband about her anxieties over starting a family. And Beth tells Jennifer everything, period. When Lincoln applied to be an internet security officer, he hardly imagined he'd be sifting through other people's inboxes like some sort of electronic Peeping Tom.

Good book, but predictable
Revisado: 07-11-21
I liked this book, I really did, so don’t get me wrong. It was predictable (at least to me). The story was good and the characters were interesting but I saw the ending coming a while ahead. Give it a listen anyways. It’s still a good book.

Historia
It started as a routine Miami to Charlotte flight for the passengers, crew, and Federal Air Marshal Stephen Mason. But a freak storm over the Atlantic propels the airliner unexplainably back in time to the early 18th century. They find themselves on the sparsely populated coast of the Carolina Colony. Charles Town is the only English settlement of any size in the area. It's an inhospitable place of vast plantations, slavery, hostile natives, tall ships, and marauding pirates.

This book looked interesting and it turned out to be just that! Being from Charlotte and vacationing in Myrtle Beach made this even more fun to listen to. I love the fiction and history mixed together along with the fun and interesting characters! I’m excited to get to book 2!

Different than the TV show, but a good different
Revisado: 03-01-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Listening to this book was well worth the time put into it. The story was fun, exciting and intriguing.
What was one of the most memorable moments of 666 Park Avenue?
When we realize what of the main characters is actually capable of, it all turns around.
Do you think 666 Park Avenue needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No, I think the book was wrapped up nicely and a follow-up book isn't needed.
Any additional comments?
I watched the TV show and enjoyed it, but the book was so much better. Where relationships and strange coincidences on the TV show felt forced, they made sense and flowed better in the book. Well worth the listen.
