Not one of my favorites
Revisado: 10-13-24
Hated the ending, or it should have a follow-up. Performance was excellent! Definitely kept my interest. Loved all the characters. Once again, hated the ending! But, glad I read it.😉

From beyond the grave, Ashton’s mother leaves a mysterious legacy that upends her world. What's with the virtual voice?
Revisado: 08-19-24
Worst idea ever! Emotion is so absent in the scenes that should be very emotional. The story is wonderful as usual and expected by this author, but the narration is terrible with AI. I miss the human voice with emotion.😔

Didn't finish the book
Revisado: 03-26-24
I tried to stay in the story, but couldn't do it. Finally gave up when she got started with the guy that wasn't her husband. Lots of ways to finish that relationship without going away with the guy. How about just talking?

Lewis Madigan is young, gay, out of work, and getting antsy when he’s roped into providing end-of-life care for his insufferable homophobic neighbor, Chester Wheeler. Lewis doesn’t need the aggravation, just the money. The only requirements: run errands, be on call, and put up with a miserable old churl no one else in Buffalo can bear. After exchanging barbs, bickering, baiting, and pushing buttons, Chester hits Lewis with the big ask. Lewis can’t say no to a dying wish.

Great love story
Revisado: 04-10-23
With all the books I have listened to, of all genres, it's always a pleasure to hear Ms. Caldwell's love stories. It's a shame today's love stories are so hard to read. Give me a historical romance any day!

Historia
Meet Ellie Cooke. When it comes to all things environmental she’s, well, a bit "green". It’s not that she doesn’t care about things like climate change and plastic pollution, it’s just that life has always got in the way of that sort of thing. But when the PR firm Ellie works for is taken over by keen environmentalist Nolan Reece, it’s clear that if she wants to save her job, she’s going to have to get serious about being green—or face being recycled.

Green??
Revisado: 11-22-21
Hated this book. Love every book up till now by this author. Usually get into the story by page 2. Not this time. The humor was not there like his other books. Love the way climate change people have all the answers. Now, if we just made enough money to pay for all the electric cars or a place to plug them in, that would be great. By the way, since the government insists on electric without burning coal, lets get ready for more expense. Until they make it easier to use them, I will stick to my small SUV, which I need to get around in the snow in the winter. 😉.
If the water that comes out of the tap could be trusted to not have other "stuff" in it, I might drink it. So I will continue to buy plastic bottles. I do recycle them. As well as paper.

Great story! Characters were kind of whining, but goes to show you....USE YOUR WORDS! Imagine if everyone used their words, so much could be accomplished by having a conversation, instead of screaming at each other! Great read!

Expected the sex scenes, but...
Revisado: 07-17-21
Loved the story. But I'm a Romantic. However, the sex scenes were too much, too graphic and way too many. Will definitely not be buying the rest of the series. Felt like she could have done the story without so much graphic sex.

Annie Marlow has been through the worst. Rocked by tragedy, she heads to the one place that makes her happy: Oceanside in the Pacific Northwest, the destination of many family vacations when Annie was a teenager. Once there, Annie begins to restore her broken spirit, thanks, in part, to the folks she meets: a local painter, Keaton, whose large frame is equal to his big heart - and who helps Annie fix up her rental cottage by the sea; Mellie, the reclusive, prickly landlord Annie is determined to befriend; and Britt, a teenager with a terrible secret.
