Historia
Five quiet years of the apocalypse have passed in No Where… but that’s all about to change. Bob and Violet have four small mouths to feed. Then another pair is dumped in their laps, followed by two more. That makes eight. Life is hard enough in the UP of Northern Michigan, miles from anyone, in the middle of the apocalypse, and it just got worse. A band of marauders, on motorcycles no less, invade No Where. What they want is simple; they want everything and will stop at nothing to get it. Bob knows they won’t survive with the Winter Warriors in the area. Violet agrees, Wilson agrees. ...

Fantastic story
Revisado: 01-26-25
Bob, Violet, and family endure another year or so in post-apocalyptic Upper Michigan. Crazy, funny, tragic, dangerous times. Bob’s sense of humor continues to add spice to the challenging times while the compound at Wilson’s adds a funny and lifesaving twist.
I miss the human narrator from previous books but this virtual narrator was really good. I can’t wait for the next book which is due out later in 2025! 😃

Luck & Teamwork
Revisado: 12-28-24
Tom, his family, friends, and strangers work together to make it through a horrific situation—part natural and part man-made. Every day seemed to become more chaotic than the last but the team members manage.
Several great ideas for survival also help readers to learn potentially great plans. Great book!!!

Historia
Normalcy ceased to exist in the United States the instant the Iranian EMP warheads detonated, relieving America of its abundant luxuries and conveniences. The event pushed the entire country backward in a millisecond. Backward in time to the mid-1800s—to a lifestyle that preceded the telephone and, for most, even the use of a simple lightbulb.

Days 8-14 of an EMP display the best and worst of society. The plot definitely makes me want to do what I can to be ready for any scenario. Also, I loved the narrator’s voice and acting ability! Well done!

International and local village storyline merge, tearing at heartstrings and angering beyond all measure! Definitely worth reading and listening to. The narrator is absolutely a voice actor! I will never hear the name “John” in the usual way again! It was so easy to recognize each character and see their facial expressions and body language just through the narrator’s skillful voice! Truly wonderful book and narration!

Fight back, because we are sheep no more! This personal safety and security book comes armed to the teeth with empowering techniques so you can be your own expert at protecting your life. Weekly, there are major threats, mass killings, terrorist attacks and even weather-related disasters—the list goes on. And this increasingly dangerous world includes more violent and deadly threats that are specifically targeting everyday civilians. You. This is the definitive “safety bible” that links the leading expert on personal safety with civilians. For the first time, you can make educated predictions using the new key questions of “ Who, Why, Where, When, and How” from the attacker’s point of view. No one really expects violent situations to occur—but they do, and usually without advance warning or your control. End the guessing game of safety and security by following the techniques inside Sheep No More. Think like an attacker in order to build better defenses. Your life may depend on it.

This is more than the story of nuclear conflict. It’s about the devastating effects wrought by nuclear winter. Our possible future is seen through the eyes of the Albright family. Hank Albright, a widower and proprietor of the Driftwood Key Inn, is the epitome of the laid-back islander inhabiting the Keys. His brother, Mike, is a homicide detective for the Monroe County Sheriff’s department. Along with his wife, Jessica, a paramedic and member of the sheriff’s department's water emergency team, they become involved in the investigation of a sadistic serial killer.

Beginning of a five-book series. Setting and characters. I enjoyed it and, of course, Kevin Pierce was awesome. Disappointed that each of these five books are about six hours long but each costs an Audible credit which seemed expensive to me. I assume there will be a box set someday. Anyway, it was very good.
