Historia
Weaving a latticework of different strands, moving back and forth through time, Josh Brolin captures a life marked by curiosity, pain, devotion, kindness, humor. He recounts an unconventional childhood far from Hollywood. Raised on a ranch in Paso Robles, California, he was surrounded as a child by the wolves, cougars, and other wild animals gathered by his fearless and explosive mother, Jane Agee Brolin. Her tragic, early death haunts this book, and the force of her unforgettable personality is felt throughout.

Chaotic mess
Revisado: 01-09-25
This was just all over the place. Hard to follow. Sometimes it was so unclear who he was even talking about and the metaphors…my gosh the metaphors. Every other sentence was a metaphor it got old real fast. Skip this one.

What a mess!
Revisado: 03-10-17
What an absolute, convoluted mess. This book had no idea what it was supposed to be. It hopped all over the place and made no sense and ended badly.

Historia
Cabot Cove is about to be invaded - by Hollywood. One of Jessica's older novels is being made into a big-budget movie. The producer has decided to shoot most of the film on location in town, since the book was loosely based on a murder that shocked Cabot Cove over a decade earlier.

This was ok
Revisado: 11-23-16
I love Mrs Fletcher and the story wasn't so bad but the narrator made Mrs Fletcher sound far too young.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Almost perfect narration.
Revisado: 11-23-16
Really really enjoyed this. I think the narrator can make or break an audio book no matter how good the story is and this narrator was almost perfect. Could have done a better job with Hermione.

Historia
A master storyteller at his best - the O. Henry Prize winner Stephen King delivers a generous collection of stories, several of them brand-new, featuring revelatory autobiographical comments on when, why, and how he came to write (or rewrite) each story. Magnificent, eerie, utterly compelling, these stories comprise one of King's finest gifts to his constant fan. "I made them especially for you," says King. "Feel free to examine them, but please be careful. The best of them have teeth."

Couldn't even finish this
Revisado: 10-26-16
What would have made The Bazaar of Bad Dreams better?
Different stories.
Has The Bazaar of Bad Dreams turned you off from other books in this genre?
No. I'll keep reading Stephen King but jeez what a disappointment this was.
What three words best describe the narrators’s performance?
I couldn't even answer this. The stories were so bad the performance didn't even resonate.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment.
Any additional comments?
These stories were awful. I get that Stephen King likes to branch out and do things other than the horror that he's known for but these were just awful. They were just about death. Sad death stories written by a man who may be feeling that cold breath on his own shoulders these days.

Historia
Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

Hard to listen to
Revisado: 10-26-16
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
When I listen to audio books I'm not worried about the time. It's junk time so was it well spent? Sure. Would I spend the time again? No.
What did you like best about this story?
The story is a masterpiece. The characters are so well developed which I've always felt has been one of Stephen Kings best talents.
What three words best describe Steven Weber’s voice?
Droll. Monotone. Boring.
Was It worth the listening time?
Yes
Any additional comments?
I love Stephen King and I love Stephen Weber and I had high hopes for this but Webers voice doesn't lend well to audio books.
