NOT A SERIES
Revisado: 09-16-15
Good book, I was waiting for book 2, and asked about it on Diane Chamberlain Facebook page. This is not a series, there is NO book 2. I have contacted Audible, and so have Diane Chamberlain's people. Audible gave me a publishers phone number to report it, I did and passed the number to Diane Chamberlains page. It seems AUDIBLE OR PUBLISHERS WONT FIX IT. Just wanted to pass that along to anyone else waiting for next book.

It was nice to pick up the series again. It wasn't bad, but you can see the difference in the author. Too bad Stieg's father and brother didn't let Stieg's life partner do it with what Stieg already had done on this book. I think she said he was almost done with it, and outlined 10 books. She did work with him on the books, I just have a gut feeling it would have been so different if she did it.

Historia
For Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPSD, the job is a useful reminder of what she has to be grateful for this season. Hosting Roarke's big Irish family for the holiday may be challenging, but it’s a joyful improvement on her own dark childhood. Other couples aren’t as lucky as Eve and Roarke. The Reinholds, for example, are lying on the floor of their Downing Street apartment, stabbed and bludgeoned almost beyond recognition. Those who knew them are stunned - and even more heartbroken by the overwhelming evidence that they were murdered by their own son.

Third book thats missing all Eves friends. Boring.
Revisado: 09-18-13
This is now the third book missing all the other characters. Where is Summerset, Mavis, Mira,Galahad, Candy thief etc? It is now just a murder story, and even though there is Thanksgiving bash at Eves, the last 5 minutes mentions a few people there, and thats it. Again, all the interaction with the friends that have been developed over the 34 books is missing. It is also becoming very boring that every murderer calls all women whores, and cunts, its getting old, there has to be more than that. All the fun is gone, I used to laugh when I listened to her books, even the great sex with Rourke is missing. There is no human interaction any more. Maybe its time to end the series, or bring back some fun. It is now just another murder story, and not that great either.

Huge let down
Revisado: 08-27-13
Did not care for narrator, maybe if Davina Porter had done it, it would have meant something. Boring and just seemed like it had nothing to do with Outlander series. Wasted money, I prefer thinking it happened the way Outlander explained it. Thought it might bridge the gap while waiting for next book to come out, I was wrong.

Revisado: 06-03-13
I think I have listened to Dick Hill before. I found this so annoying, again I learn the hard way, listen before you buy. I think I listened to 10 minutes and gave up. This must be at least the 5th book I could not listen to.
Always make sure you sample the book fist.

Same stuff, different day
Revisado: 04-20-13
Her books are becoming rewrites of previous books. I remember other books with lost treasures to only be found by love. The ideas in the book are copies of other books. Change the characters and a few other things. The narrator was boring as well. I used to love Nora Roberts books, and JD Robb, but she has dried up and it's not cutting it for me anymore. I will wait for reviews on future work before purchasing it, hate to waste my money.

Typical Robyn Carr book, just like Virgin River,
Revisado: 03-27-13
Very typical Robyn Carr. It is just like Virgin River, a different location and different characters. Right from the beginning you know just what is going to happen. Having Therese Plummer as narrator you kind of think of the Virgin Rivers names as she does the new characters. Sometimes I just like an easy going book with some romance, so this fits the bill very well. Nothing really to the book, easy listening.

Historia
On Manhattan’s East Side a woman lies dead at the bottom of the stairs, stripped of all her valuables. Most cops might call it a mugging gone wrong, but Lieutenant Eve Dallas knows better. A well-off accountant and a beloved wife and mother, Marta Dickenson doesn’t seem the type to be on anyone’s hit list. But when Eve and her partner, Peabody, find blood inside the building, the lieutenant knows Marta’s murder was the work of a killer who’s trained, but not professional or smart enough to remove all the evidence.

Series going downhill fast
Revisado: 02-27-13
Like the last book, where are all the players? This is Eve and Peabody, a little Rourke and very little of anyone else. The story was okay, not one of the best by far, it misses being fun. I usually have a good laugh here and there in the books, but it's missing that again, like the last book. So sorry to see the series take a giant step down. I enjoyed the series cause it had a good mystery plot, and humor rolled into one book. She can end the series anytime she wants, I have just about lost interest.

Great Series
Revisado: 12-23-12
Romance part predictable. The story itself kept you listening. Enjoyed the series, Nora always does a great job. Most are so predictable its hard to listen to after second book, not the case with this one. I only reviewed last book since it was a series. No regrets on purchase, buy it you wont be sorry.

Predictable
Revisado: 12-20-12
After starting the second book in the series, I knew the story and knew exactly what the third would be. I like Nora Roberts, but this was so predictable it was a waste to buy the other books. Bought the series at same time when it was on sale.
