Liberal Ideology Ruins the Book

A decent story line compromised by left wing ideology sprinkled throughout the book. The author held off long enough to create some interest, so I decided listen anyway until the weak ending. I should have just returned it. I don't know why liberal authors are so determined to alienate half of their potential audience. Next time I will return the book as I very much dislike spending money only to be subjected to attempted manipulation. I will not support such efforts going forward.

Not for Anyone with Traditional Values

I started this book with great interest as "First Contact" is a topic I enjoy. However, the lack of a consistent narrative soon became obvious. Many passages were not connected very well, if at all. The portions narrated by Janina Edwards felt much like some romance novel dominated by lesbian heroes and the connection to any real "Science" Fiction was lacking throughout. The characters were hard to follow and their actions not well explained or grounded. I struggled to finish this and only did so to see if I could figure out what "The Lesson" really was. Sadly, this was never really clear and the time spent was not worth it even after increasing the speed toward the end just to get there. I would have returned it, but it was "free" from Amazon if you allow for the wasted time listening. I know this review seems harsh and I hate to be so critical of someone's effort, but I think I owe it to others who may unknowingly consider this. In fairness, I will say that there were a few interesting sections, but that's as far as I can go with any positive comments. I just really disliked this book.

A Ruse to Preach the Climate Change Doctrine

The author waits until the very end to hit you with it... but there it is. Don't be duped into supporting this cowardly deceit through the purchase of this book. It's too bad a "Negative Star Rating" is not available to apply to this cheap gimmick! Never again, Brian Andrews... Never again.

Start At The Beginning!

Love Ryk Brown's work! Start at the beginning. I did and ended up reading everything he wrote. It's not heavy stuff, but it is fun and it keeps you coming back.

First Half Good

The book starts off well. Interesting concept and characters. Half way thorough though it becomes nothing but blood and guts, blood and guts, blood and guts. It lost me and I could not finish it although I had high hopes for it...
