That was. Just. Wow. I loved every bit of The Umbra King! The ending is a cliffhanger though, so be aware of that if you hate to be left hanging. It was a bit upsetting for me, but it was such a good story that I loved it despite the end. I’ll definitely be reading the next one!

I kept listening to the book even though the writing is rough—more like first draft material that needs heavy editing—, but when I got to chapter 4, I had to stop. There was NO WAY I could go further. The main hero is an adult and he gets an erection from a minor. It’s disgusting and I don’t ever want to read anything like that ever again! The author should be ashamed of themselves! They could have easily started the story when the main female was an adult and not included any scenes of pedophilia. What is wrong with you?

I just couldn’t get into this book and believe me I tried… and tried… and tried. The storyline is flat and didn’t suck me in like some of her other books. If you like books that suck you in from the first few pages then this isn’t the book for you. To be honest, I just can’t recommend this book to anyone.

This was a cute recovery from an accident love story where the couple meets because they both were in the same accident. There’s not much drama other than a cheating spouse and the hit & run person. But that’s okay. It was sweet and showed a buildup to their relationship instead of the insta love. Kylie Scott is a good author who I never tire of.

Not just another erotica…

This is more than erotica. While most eroticas are quick and flat, this one has depth. The characters have depth, their relationship has depth, and the action has depth, oh, and the world they live in… you guessed it, it has depth too! I love this author and she didn’t disappoint with this first book in her series. I can’t wait to read more!
