It was ok, it would’ve been better with a real person reading, it’s a disservice to the author.

Amazing story
Revisado: 10-21-24
Great story! Very intriguing and it’s amazing how they’re able to trace families through public records and stuff. There was some repetitiveness which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. It would be cool if someone wrote a fictitious autobiography about that mom!

Stop with the awful AI NARRATION
Revisado: 10-07-24
It would have been enjoyable because the stories seem good but it was worse than a college lecture at 7am. Repeated a lot of words when different ones could’ve been used.

Hate AI narration
Revisado: 10-03-24
The stories were good, but unfortunately, I had a hard time, maintaining my attention with the dull emotionless computer voice that somehow at times, sounded like it needed to clear his throat, which makes no sense.

Well told story
Revisado: 08-15-24
My only issue is the book is about a child r*ped yet the author seems to be afraid to use the term? It just bothers me when people say a child “had sex” with an adult. If you’re going to write a book about something don’t be afraid to call it what it is. I understand the author is the victim and that was her choice, and I’m sorry to be critical. I am thankful for her sharing her experience. It shows we need to pay attention to and talk to kids more and actually listen, and I’m so very sorry all this happened.

AI is awful
Revisado: 05-23-24
The ai voice is awful. It missed and or mispronounced several words and just doesn’t sound good. Some parts were very repetitive. Other than that it was a good story.

Historia
In 2015, Mary Yoder returned home from the chiropractic center that she operated with her husband, Bill, complaining that she felt unwell. Mary, health-conscious and vibrant, was suddenly vomiting, sweating, and weak. Doctors in the ER and ICU were baffled as to the cause of her rapidly progressing illness. Her loved ones - including Bill and their children, Adam, Tamryn, and Liana - gathered in shock to say good-bye. In the weeks that followed Mary's death, the grief-stricken family received startling news from the medical examiner: Mary had been deliberately poisoned with colchicine.

Told very well
Revisado: 03-30-24
The narration and story were both very good. Even though you know who did it, it’s still intriguing to hear how things played out. Things got a little repetitive when discussing the computer/phone forensics especially at the end but that’s easily overlooked. Great “read.”

I liked this book a lot, it was very well written. I’m surprised and a little disappointed there was only one narrator when the story is told from many perspectives.

Would be 5 stars but…
Revisado: 03-13-24
The author uses dementia and Alzheimer’s interchangeably as if they’re the same disease. They’re not, and that aspect bothered me. However the story was so good that it’s actually disappointing that no one caught this error in publishing. Excellent “read” regardless!

Revisado: 03-10-24
It is not very often that I find a book that actually throws me for a loop. I admit I may have been distracted for the first couple chapters and wasn’t getting into it but I am so glad I kept listening. Also, spoiler alert, the dog is OK.
