Historia
More than 40 years after their release from the notorious "Hanoi Hilton", three American prisoners of war return to Vietnam to make peace with their most brutal former captor, a guard whom they've dubbed "Mr. Wonderful". The US State Department hopes reconciliation will help cement a major trade agreement between Washington and the Vietnamese. But when Mr. Wonderful is found murdered, the three ex-POWs are accused of the crime, and the multibillion-dollar deal threatens to unravel.

Another great addition to this Series!
Revisado: 09-24-15
I always look forward to the new Cordell Logan books . This is a very good and witty mystery series. Cordell Logan is a flight instructor who keeps getting invovled in solving murders due to his former black ops background. I have listened to all four novels to date and loved them all. The narrator, Ray Porter is very gifted and makes the stories even better.
If you want a good series to listen to I highly recommend this one.

Great Series
Revisado: 09-23-15
I really liked this first book in the Sean O'Brien series, A False Dawn. So far I have listened to the first 3 books and have started on the 4th novel. I have found them to be very interesting mysteries. I have purchased all six novels in this series available to date and have always looked forward to hearing the next one. Sean O'Brien, the main character, is an ex-Miami homicide detective who retired early after his wife died and moved up to the Daytona Beach area. He has a river house inland from the beach but also has a boat that he lives on. He keeps running into murder cases that need to be solved which he can't help but getting totally involved in. You will meet all his colorful boat neighbors and his cute little hotdog mutt, Max. Mr. Lowe is a great writer and Mr. Axtell is a wonderful narrator. All in all I highly recommend this series.

A Good and Easy Listen
Revisado: 11-12-14
I really enjoyed listening to this novel. I discovered that it was the third in a series of Sean O'Brien novels, five novels to date, 2014. Unfortunately, Audible only offers this one. I would really love it if Audible would get the rest of them recorded since I feel that I'm missing out on the beginning of the main characters life. I may even get the other stories on Kindle. To me I thought this was a well done and very interesting story. Sean O'Brien, the main character is a retired Miami homicide detective living on a boat off of central Florida. He is thrown into the middle of a murder mystery which he decides to look into after realizing that he is the only one really interested in solving the case. The story takes you into the Ocala National Forest in Florida where you learn many interesting facts. The story had a lot of action and great characters. Really worth the listen.

Loved this whole series!
Revisado: 03-04-14
As someone who is new to this category I have to say that this book is very good. It is a fast paced and interesting story, had great characters and gave out some good information. I also thought the narrator was very good and well suited for this book. I listened to all three books already, one right after the other, and really enjoyed each one very much. I wish the fourth book had been available because now it's hard to wait. I highly recommend this series for those who like books in this category.

Historia
Joe Pickett is the new game warden in Twelve Sleep, Wyoming, a town where nearly everyone hunts and the game warden—especially one like Joe who won't take bribes or look the other way—is far from popular. When he finds a local hunting outfitter dead, splayed out on the woodpile behind his state-owned home, he takes it personally. There had to be a reason that the outfitter, with whom he's had run-ins before, chose his backyard, his woodpile to die in.

Great Series
Revisado: 09-04-13
I read both of Mr Box's "Cody Holt" novels and liked them so much that I decided to start on the "Joe Pickett" novels. This first book was so good that I've been listening non-stop to the rest of the series. Now I am up to book 7 and going strong. These stories keep my interest up. Each book ties into the next one very well. The narrator does a wonderful job. I highly recommend the whole "Joe Pickett" series.

Historia
Is it possible that there exists an ancient mystery that holds the secret of America's future? That this mystery lies behind everything from 9/11 to the collapse of the global economy? That ancient harbingers of judgment are now manifesting in America? That God is sending America a prophetic message of what is yet to come? Before its end as a nation, there appeared in ancient Israel nine specific warnings and omens of national destruction - these same Nine Harbingers are now manifesting in America with profound ramifications.

I'm Glad I Listened
Revisado: 03-11-13
I usually don't listen to these types of books but this one caught my attention. After reading most of the reviews I decided no because I thought it was just going to preachify but then got it anyway out of curiosity. I'm glad I did. I found that it was very interesting and was read well. The main point I got out of this story was not about the events or dates as much as just a pure and simple reminder. This story is worth a listen.

Historia
The irresistible David Freed’s first mystery is a stay-up-late-to-finish thriller. Based in sunny Rancho Bonita - “California’s Monaco”, as the city’s moneyed minions like to call it - Cordell Logan is a literate, sardonic flight instructor and aspiring Buddhist with dwindling savings and a shadowy past. When his beautiful ex-wife, Savannah, shows up out of the blue to tell him that her husband has been murdered in Los Angeles, Logan is quietly pleased. Savannah’s late husband, after all, is Arlo Echevarria, the man she left Logan for.
