My first book of 2025!

Whew!! I preordered this book when it first came out and just now reading it because I don’t reread books and I was not ready for this to end. I got extremely teary-eyed and felt lots of emotions! I loveeeeed the slight connection between a previous book and this one! I loved how the two stories of Ruby and Eleanor connected! Beautifully done! And the author’s note, whew!

This was a story that pulled me in immediately!! The dynamic duo Jakobi and Wesleigh of course were amazing! This series is my introduction to Donnia Marie!! I loved it, that’s it.

Baybeh,..I am hooked on this series! As I’m typing this, Book 3 is starting!! Grey Huffington is AMAZING!! I felt the realness of all of this! I finished this book in one sitting!!

I cried..

All I have to say is, I cried! I have to say, my heart is broken for Brooklyn. Yes, she did the things that she did, but there was something that happened to her that caused her to be the way that she is. I saw myself in Brooklyn, which made me ball my eyes out. I too, grew up in a church going household, my parents were NOT like her parents though. I just thought it was something out there better than what was going on in church, Throughout it all, God was covering me. Whew! Thankfully, I am still alive. Tracy Brown did her BIG ONE with this one! RIP Tracy Brown! I cried really bad...like really bad!

So, it took me a little bit to get into, however, once I got into forreal, I couldn’t turn it off. Ingrid UGH! That’s all. But overall, I enjoyed the overall story and how everything came full circle!! Trisha R. Thomas always writes really well! The narrator was great as well!!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I was happy for Que and Mel. While I appreciated the realness of the story. I feel like there were some parts that over-explained. I hated to hear Que call Mel his “b*tch..” I’m well aware that some people just talk that way, and that’s fine; I just didn’t like it. The narrator was good too. Again, overall, I enjoyed this audiobook, as I finished it in a day!! This was my first book by this author! Very good!

It Was Cute

I loved this book. It was my first my Mia Sosa, I finished this audiobook in one sitting. The story gave the right amount of emotions. The only things was the female narrator, she was "okay" as I wasn't too fond of her voice, but overall the story was good, quick and a fun read/listen.

Sisterhood is truly important

This book had me truly tearing up!! This was a beautiful story of all the ladies’ lives and their sisterhood. Sisterhood is being there in ALL areas of life and being a shoulder to lean on, a listening ear and sense when needed! This book made me wanna make sure I get my closest friends and have a girl’s trip/weekend; because life is truly short!! This was my first book by Sheryl Lister and I will be reading/listening to more!!
