Amazing book
Revisado: 02-13-17
I am going to listen to this book over and over. There is so much amazing information in this book I couldn't absorb it all the first time. The author gives so many real world examples of how to make your life the best it can be (One tiny example "in your speaking replace but with and") and so many quotes for you to think about and meditate on. There are Journal prompts for you to write about and in the audio version of the book her voice is so uplifting and so powerful that you want to make a positive change in your life. I highly recommend this book for everyone at all stages of life wanting to make their life the best it can be!

Historia
In 1987, Miri Ammerman returns to her hometown of Elizabeth, New Jersey, to attend a commemoration of the worst year of her life. Thirty-five years earlier, when Miri was 15, and in love for the first time, a succession of airplanes fell from the sky, leaving a community reeling. Against this backdrop of actual events that Blume experienced in the early 1950s, when airline travel was new and exciting and everyone dreamed of going somewhere, she paints a vivid portrait of a particular time and place....

Disappointed
Revisado: 07-29-15
Frustrating how the narrator couldn't pronounce the Hebrew/Jewish words... Story not great. Disappointed with book.

Historia
An American girl finds her prince in this "fun and dishy" (People) royal romance inspired by Prince William and Kate Middleton. American Bex Porter was never one for fairy tales. Her twin sister Lacey was always the romantic, the one who daydreamed of being a princess. But it's adventure-seeking Bex who goes to Oxford and meets dreamy Nick across the hall - and Bex who finds herself accidentally in love with the heir to the British throne. Nick is wonderful, but he comes with unimaginable baggage.

Historia
After having endured enough emotional wreckage in her search for true love to fill a book ( The New York Times bestseller The Between Boyfriends Book), two magazine columns, and five seasons of scripts for Sex and the City, Cindy Chupack finally, mercifully, at the age of thirty-nine, met the Perfect Man. The perfect companion for anyone navigating a marriage (or even just contemplating one), The Longest Date marks the welcome return of one of our most gifted and captivating comic writers.

The BEST book I have listened to!
Revisado: 01-15-14
What made the experience of listening to The Longest Date the most enjoyable?
The story was hilarious at points, touching at other times.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The main character, Cindy, was so relatable to what we have all been through.
What does Cindy Chupack and Ian Wallach bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
It was great hearing her read her own book - I love when authors read their own books.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I literally was laughing out loud at points. There were other points that I was crying as I was relating to the author. This was an amazingly well written book that brings the reader into the story.
Any additional comments?
I would STRONGLY recommend this book. I couldn't stop listening and wanted to turn it on at every free second I had. She is an amazing and talented writer (former Sex in the City writer) and writes about the real part of dating/marriage/trying to get pregnant. This was a fabulous book and I highly recommend it.

But after giving birth to a son at age 19, Feldman realized it was time to tear up her roots and make her own path in life.
