Still going strong

First off Leland Kings is a very good performer. He gives everyone distinctive voices. Not that mean to downplay the story any it’s still going strong. I like straight forward stories that are interesting and keep you entertained.

Really needs to be updated. I read this in middle school before I became a serious reader and I liked it. Now though its a little bit school playish with how the narrator reads it. Not that it's all on her, but the book was written in the 60's. The way the children speak is definitely not grammar of today's youth. It's as if every character was in that old show The Waltons.

Steven Weber is great with anything involving Stephen Kings work. Loved the TV movie so I had to read the book. Ending was vastly better in recent feature films, always hated the book ending even the TV movies was better. One of the best aspects of the book is it describes It’s history and It’s connection with the city of Derry in a great more detail that builds the legend up a lot more. Just to let you know just how deep it goes, pun intended.

Seriously get this

The book was just awesome. Don’t get me the movie is a visual masterpiece with great story but the novel has more of a story behind it and is actually spaced out time wise, it’s more believable with more references that actually had to be researched. And Wil Wheaton is a fantastic narrator he really knocked it out of the park. I must have listened to it four times.

The story was really great and kept a steady pace. The narrator was really good making distinct voices for each character the only thing I didn’t like was Gus’s thick accent.

The narrator was great have no complaints. I have to say except for the ending it worth getting. The movie, as long as it is has nothing on the book in terms of characters and their points of view. They really build the scenario for you. Although I prefer the movie’s ending over the book by a lot.

Just up front only listened to The Langoliers

William Defoe did a great job in narrating The Langoliers however they put some music in there that could have done without. The story was more or less word for word from the TV movie in the 90’s with a few more details in there. Still remains one of my favorite stories by Stephen King.

It is worth getting

While from a purely horror standpoint I have to Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining is better, but for overall story the book is better. Campbell Scott was kinda dry in the first half of narration but he loosened up eventually.
