Whatever they called it, it was still a police state. Overnight, rock music was banned, movies were censored, and outspoken teachers began to vanish. Soon, any person who dared question the new authorities was in danger as well. Eddie Ludlow was jusgt a regular high school student in a small Ohio town, but he know that somebody had to stand up to the new government before America was lost. Nice attempt on a favorite book.

This was my first audible virtual reader experience, and last for another 20 years. Human readers can learn pronunciation, and how to express dialog in a sentence. Virtual voice is no better than an app I used in the early 2000s, that would convert fan fiction, or any other text to voice mp3.

Historia
Steven Dalt should have died in that cave on the planet Kwashi. After all, as the natives say, of 1,000 people attacked by the cave-dwelling alaret, 999 will die. Dalt survives, but not without personal cost: He has picked up a passenger - an alien intelligence transferred itself from the alaret to take up residence in his brain. Steven Dalt will never be alone again.

A great performance of a favorite book
Revisado: 07-30-20
This has been a favorite story to read since I was gifted an edition in high school.. a few years after it's release. I have read it at least a few times a year since.
I am now able to enjoy the book in audio format.
Greg Tremblay did an awesome job in bringing outside voices to the characters and story. I look forward to hearing this again and again.
