Historia
Ten years after the collapse, Huxley has built a good life again. He has a loving wife, a farm with fields of golden barley, and a daughter with a strange and wonderful gift. Then the slavers come. Working out in the fields during the attack, Huxley returns too late. His daughter has been taken, and his wife is bleeding out, her last whispered words about a man with a scorpion tattoo on his neck. Where do the slavers go? Huxley has no idea. He knows only that they head east, and so will he, setting out on foot across the desert of the Wastelands.

BEST NARRATOR EVER and hard to put down
Revisado: 12-16-16
What did you love best about Wolves?
Loved best the NARRATION by Christian Rummel! He is BY FAR the best narrator on audible I have heard yet. Perfect character voices and he obviously did a lot of studying the book before recording.
Any additional comments?
If you like good desciptions of chaotic scenes and the best narration of character voices you ever heard, buy this book.

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Historia
Two weeks have passed since the lights went out and in that time, Nicholas McNeil has assembled the equipment, a team of devoted survivors and has located a safe place to go hunker down. The catch is that it's over a thousand miles away. He is ready for a tough journey but as the miles grow longer he discovers he's not quite as prepared for what mankind is capable of until he's face to face with it. He discovers the once picturesque landscape has been replaced with brutality and barbarism.

EXCELLENT story, narrator monotone/rushed.
Revisado: 02-15-16
Where does The Defiant: Grid Down rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The Defiant is third in my top three with Going Home series and Borrowed world series before it.
What didn’t you like about Joseph Morton’s performance?
He was monotone most of the time and it felt like he was rushed to read the lines of the characters. There weren't any pauses between characters talking like there would be in natural speech. It is as if he knew the lines that were coming and wanted to get it over with.

Good story, narrator ok
Revisado: 02-14-16
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ashes of the Unspeakable?
I liked the action sequences and the reactions of the characters to impossible circumstances.
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
I felt like the narrator sounded old. The characters need more contrast between voices.

Terrible narration, ruined story
Revisado: 02-11-16
How did John go from neutral accent to heavy, bad southern accent? Change in narrators was confusing. Only good accent was brief, British accent. Unlike EXCELLENT first book narration, this one was painful to listen to.
