The best Audible performance EVER
Revisado: 10-15-24
The Ravenhood Legacy series is the best writing I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. The performance only makes the story better. i felt EVERY emotion to my core and it was a true roller-coaster of highs and lows . I want to believe in the type of justice created in this series. As far as being listed in romance, the intimacy is very tasteful but is so raw and real I swear I could feel the tension. I can't say enough good things about this series or this author. Although this book could stand alone, start with the trilogy.

The best for last!!!!
Revisado: 04-28-24
This book was an absolute, "big red bow" on the present of the Santiago saga. As a stand alone story it was incredible. As a 4th installment, it is a masterpiece! The writing is incredible. The characters come to life in a way that make you feel like this is a story you are a part of. The twists, turns and connections kept me so engaged, I literally found myself holding my breath. I want more! But this is such a perfect story as is. The "romance" scenes were well written and descriptive but not trashy. The violence throughout the story used words in a way that conjured up just enough terror and fear to get a point across. The narration was like internal artists shaping my imagination to paint the scenes in my mind. I felt joy, fear, disgust, wonder, suprise and lust as if the emotions actually belonged to me. My only complaint is that the narration accent/styles of Dante and Greyson were different than the original trilogy. But as this can be a stand alone story, it is only a minor annoyance. I am totally surprised by the amount of excitement I have on finding a new favorite genre and author . If you haven't heard/read the Santiago trilogy....GO NOW!!! I can honestly say it was the best Audible credit I ever spent. Devils and Dust was the 2nd best Audible credit. I can't wait to devour more by Catherine Wilcher.

Even the most powerful men in the world know better than to cross me, but Autumn Sutherland thought she could spy on me in my own club and get away with it. Now, she must be punished. She tried to expose me, so she will be exposed. Bare, bound, and helplessly on display, she'll beg for mercy as my strap lashes her quivering bottom and my crop leaves its burning welts on her most intimate spots. Then, she'll scream my name as she takes every inch of me, long and hard.

So so hot!
Revisado: 02-27-24
I was completely entranced with this book. The narration was so incredible and gave the female role such a sultry, soft voice and at the same time made the main character sound so sexy and dominating. It was easy to visualize every scene! Oh my ..... I was definitely on edge and totally engaged with the plot. The twist at the end.... Damn!!! I never saw that coming. It was definitely a top listen in my Audible Library. I just hope the other two books in the series get created. I would pay full price and binge listen in a quiet location so I could immerse myself in the lives of Autumn and Gregory.

Wow!!! Did you read my diary?
Revisado: 02-10-24
This was such a fantastic read. The story was well developed and the focus was tuned into the desires of Holly. There was enough background info and scene setting to develop a picture in my imagination but not too much to be distracted. There is a twist that I never saw coming but was so excited to see. It brought the story to a new level of realism. This was such a great short story that I completely forgot it was narrated using an automated voice. This could very well be the blueprint for someone looking to bring a new "activity " into their relationship. I am looking for more titles by this author. I may have found my new favorite author for titles in this category. A great, complete little story that I would have paid a credit for and not been disappointed.

Absolutely Mind blowing/Intense from beginning to end.
Revisado: 12-14-23
The plot was well thought out and supported. The different "voices " and perspectives allowed the imagination to develop a complete picture and identity of each character. But it didn't feel like an story or just an audible book. I felt like I was immersed in the story as an invisible witness. It was incredibly intense. Definitely a book/performance that I would recommend to anyone. Just enough detail of the necessary violence/sensationalism to elicit the correct emotion. Plot twists that I never imagined and the ending..... WOW. What a great experience. Exactly what I would expect from Richard Armitage.... a complete immersion into the characters and a an ability to convey every emotion.

Is this the end?
Revisado: 09-05-23
I love Ruth and the characters in this series. This title really pulled together so many different story lines and past events. I was really glad that I had listened to the entire series because it was fun to remember plot lines and character development over the course of the 15 books. Like each title, it is not necessary to be a long-standing fan of the series because each book can stand alone
The narration was spot on and tbe "voices", were consistent and almost seemed familiar.
I am looking for more books by Elly Griffiths now. I definitely would listen to the entire series again just to pick up on the details that seemed insignificant at the time, but it turns out in this book to provide a sense of connection and famailarity.
Great story. Many twists and opportunities to feel emotional, excited, and in suspense.

Excruciating, elaborate and laborious detail
Revisado: 08-21-21
I wanted to like this book. I tried. I found myself wishing it was over by chapter four. The amount of minute detail of every thought, facial change and detail of the surrounding area made me wish for one direct thought. The author changes between points of view for the same scene without warning. I had to go back several times just to remember what character was speaking. I only finished the book because I spent a credit on it and I refuse to give up before I have heard a complete story. The ending was as unexpected as it was believable. I just wanted this story to be done with. I will not be listening to this author again. The story could have been told in 2 hours instead of 8+. If that would have been the case then I might have submitted a positive review. The plot and characters were believable and somewhat predictable, that is until the last 2 chapters. If you enjoy long unnecessary descriptions that add no content then this book is for you.

I really enjoyed this. Great until the very end. I enjoyed the small references to other characters in Joy Ellis' other series. Really good balance of cop drama, foensic investigation and medical references. Ready for the next one. Jackman is starting to grow on me. I was not a big fan of the character before but I am really getting to know them.
