Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Mixed feelings on this one
Revisado: 09-07-24
I happened across this title just as my family was headed off on a 15+ hour road trip so it seemed to be a perfect time for us all to enjoy a good mystery together.
Without trying to give any spoilers, I would say the author is talented and that the narrator was amazing. But as much as i enjoyed listening to the story overall, I have to agree with the negative reviews about the ending. It is more than a stretch and that is disappointing.

Jesus said that the psalms spoke about him (Lk 24:44). Christ's birth, betrayal, agony, death, resurrection, ascension, coming again in glory, and his worldwide reign - all are pictured in inspired vividness. They constitute irrefutable testimony to the divine inspiration of the Scripture.

Deep and Significant - Highly Recommend!
Revisado: 07-02-24
If you really want to know the depth of what the Psalms mean, this guy will take you there. He has a great handle on how important the Psalms would have been to the early Christians and should be to us.
I want to echo something i keep hearing him say - read the Psalms several times before a chapter. For example, before you listen to his chapter on Psalms x-y, you should read them on your own 15 times each. It might sound ridiculous, but he is right to say this because if the words can find a way into your heart (instead of just your mind) you will be all the more impressed and touched with Psalms. For example, the depth of Psalm 16 deserves a lot of time and attention - much more than you get from listening to an 45 minute audio file.
Also, I am just starting to listen to Dr Chuck Missler after getting through a lot of Dr Bill Creasy's material. They have very different teaching styles, but they both are top notch presenters of God's Word.

Historia
Read through a Christian interpretative lens, Daniel foreshadows the coming of the Messiah as well as the “end time” events in the book of Revelation. Daniel is a very important book for Jesus, who draws his self-referential title “Son of Man” from Daniel 7:13-14; who quotes directly from Daniel 12 in the Olivet Discourse; and who seals his “guilty” verdict before Jerusalem’s religious leaders by reference to the book of Daniel.

Everything I have read from Bill Creasy has been extremely enlightening!
I especially like how it is a lecture style instead of a reading.

Historia
Alice, a fierce and respected Parisian cop, wakes up on a Central Park bench with no memory of the night before, handcuffed to a complete stranger - a musician named Gabriel. Disoriented, dazed, and with someone else’s blood on her shirt, Alice works furiously to reconnect the dots. She remembers clubbing with her friends the night before on the Champs-Élysées. Gabriel claims he was playing a gig in Dublin. Was she drugged? Kidnapped? Why is the gun in her jacket pocket missing a bullet? And whose blood is on her clothes?

My First Guillaume Musso book!
Revisado: 12-24-22
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. At first the performance was not my favorite aspect of this story, but once I got into the book, I ended up really appreciating the performance - perhaps even more than the story. Stephanie Willis doesn't just narrate this, she acts it out in way that really brings it all to life.
The story takes some crazy twists and turns and does a good job of keeping you wondering what was going to happen next.
This was my first Guillaume Musso book and I'm sure it will not be my last.
Other reviewers said they don't like the ending and I get that, but at the end of the day, I am very glad to have read this book.

Not Great
Revisado: 04-14-22
I think I went into this book with higher hopes than it deserved.
For the record, I only got 4 chapters in and I'm calling it quits so maybe it would have gotten better after that, I'll never know. So glad I was able to try this out before it became not included. Not sure I'll try other "The Great Courses" after this one.
I really was surprised by some of the baseless claims the author gave. I probably would have liked taking a class like this in person because then I could have asked so many questions and who knows, maybe he would have had good answers for them, but as a whole I thought he said a lot of things that seemed quite contrary to my understanding of the Bible's message.
If you are well read on the Bible (as I consider myself), I doubt you'll learn much from this and if you are new to the Bible, this is not the book to learn about it.
For example, the author says that Christianity was not the religion of Jesus, but rather Judaism was his religion. I completely understand what this means, but it needs to be explained. It should be the title of a chapter and then talk extensively about it so people have a deep understanding of its significance.
Lastly, the message of the Bible is nothing if not personal, and this guy talks like he is giving a lecture on how to fix a refrigerator. If God's compassion is not part of your experience reading and learning about the Bible I highly recommend you think and pray about that so you can find the depths of God's love and meaning in your life.

Difficile de trouver des livres spécifiques
Revisado: 05-10-20
