Historia
Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you.

raving review for above average book.
Revisado: 02-09-23
The book is ok, but I thought it would be amazing considering it had a 4.9 star review with thousands of reviews... instead, the book just turned out to be a pretty well written average lit rpg. it's about a farmer that gets sucked into a new world with a strict classer based magic system, with the main character getting stuck in the farmer class. A threat comes to be known and despite all odds this farmer overcomes the odds. very typical good lit rpg.
if you like a southern narrator, despite the main character hating to farm and being a city guy, then that's a plus too.

Centuries before the events of A Game of Thrones, House Targaryen - the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria - took up residence on Dragonstone. Fire & Blood begins their tale with the legendary Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the Iron Throne, and goes on to recount the generations of Targaryens who fought to hold that iconic seat, all the way up to the civil war that nearly tore their dynasty apart.

This is a history book, not a story book.
Revisado: 01-07-19
There should be a disclaimer somewhere that warns people this reads like a textbook history book. This might as well be about how America came to be, or the history of the he Chinese dynasties. it's long, droning, uneventful strait up facts about the dragon people, and its read like a teacher. skipp all this history and just get the story based books, unless you specifically want to know about the history of the lands. if you were like me and just picked this because it was the first book in the series, you will be waiting a credit.

The decision to start a new life is never an easy one, but for Joe the transition was far from figurative. Becoming a permanent addition to a game world, it doesn't take long to learn that people with his abilities are actively hunted. In fact, if the wrong people gained knowledge of what he was capable of, assassins would appear in droves.

a good book on a video game based reality.
Revisado: 12-18-18
by the cover you may think this is a book about some dark sacrificial magic and a man using dark powers. that is not the case though. a ritual is just magic any one can do as long as they have the mana to do it. the book is about a man that permanently enters into this virtual reality game controlled by a super AI with other real life players. he is the first of his character class and is under the watch of the hidden god. this book is basically about his first levels 1 through 9 and his troubles and discoveries as a ritualist. he finds secret knolege forgotten to help restore the hidden god, and from the ending of the book, may take over the way magic and the world is shaped... It's a good book. kept me engaged the entire time. doesn't give to many details and gets strait to the point.

A pretty amazing book series.
Revisado: 07-22-18
This book is about a man that is thrown into a real world with RPG game rules. The book series follows this character from the moments he is thrown in. I am on the 7th book now, and if you like humor, empire building, monsters, death, companionship... then I think you will like this book. Death is not permanent for the chaos seed, but he can still feel pain and death has major impacts. from the moment the book starts, you are told that this chaos seed has unlimited learning capability due to his abilities and was chosen just for this reason. with no status limitations as he levels up, he was brought to the land to destroy it, despite that he is a very Nobel and honorable person. I hope the series continues and we get to see everything burn on this jubiter sized planet as things twist and turn... my only complaint is that I don't like how high the price is for 12 hour books, and despite having very suspenseful encounters, there is a lack of consequences, loss, and real risk among the main characters.

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Revisado: 06-24-18
It's an ok book with an ok bit of story. It has all the major stories of Odin Thor and Loki. but, I thought it might be a little more factual and truthful about the origins of the stories, but, this book and stories are like the stories you might tell children if they ask for a good bed time story.

Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made 28 years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children.

One of the most overrated books i have read
Revisado: 05-24-18
If you are like me, you saw the old it movie and you saw the new it movie... and looking for a good long book to listen to you, you bought this book in hopes that maybe like other king books, it would be good...
No other book in my library has pissed me off to the point i was angry at the author.
This book gives you more insight on how the author thinks kids act, then actually portraying a story. Its like king sat down and made a check list of things he wanted in a book... Children. Lots of murder. Racism. Hate crimes against blacks. Hate crimes against gays in great detail. a HUGE amount of foul language, including lost of racist slurs. Prepubescent sex. Prepubescent gay sex. Rape. And much more... and after he made this list he decided that the he would blame a cosmic eternal shape shifting clown instigating all the hate. (The n word is probably said atleast 70 times at the top of the lungs of the reader, probably more.)
This book, is literally nothing like the movie. Other then a killer that is some times a clown. could you imagine if they put in the kid orgy? Why King... Why did you make a bunch of 11 year olds have an orgy? They don't even know what sex is. There was no reason for it... and no, it doesn't make sens. No. having sex will not bring back the magic bond... this and so many events in this book just make you say... WTF?!?! why? what kind of childhood did you have? and you dedicated this book to your children? what is wrong with you?
This book suffers from the " it makes sence because the (insert monster name here) is causing it. so many gross sickening things that would never happen are put in this book, just because. If you like that, then have at it.
It just makes me mad that an author can set the stage like this in detail. Most of the book is about the events around dairy and the people around dairy rather then the actions of the clown. And when things do happen, he babbles on and on and on. the book could be 1/3 of the length if you trimmed all the useless fat about the people...
I am just generally mad i spent so much time listening to this and it did not live up to the hype. i could write a whole essay on the bad. so many things.
And i liked pet cemetery... if you are choosing between this and pet cemetery... pick pet cemetery. I probably wont read another king book after this if his style and subject matter changes this much between books.

Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

Best book I have seen to date.
Revisado: 03-01-18
Any additional comments?
This is a big story. its 4 books with 40+ hours each... its a long great story. Its about a vampire. Not by choice, he gets dragged into matters that are beyond his control.
He goes from teacher in the modern world to a King of the DARKNESS. You get to tag along the whole time. Its told from a journal perspective, so its like the vampire is telling you directly from his experiences.
What i like the most about this book is that there isnt to much unimportant things that happen. something is always happening and the story is told though actions and conversation rather then anything else like descriptions or narration. It wont make you fall asleep.
it has great characters. they will make you laugh out loud and maybey even shed a tear from time to time. everything from knights to dragons.
The story seems really believable. like its lost history in time when magic used to be a thing.
the only negatives i have about the books are that the incorporate allot of stereotypes. allot. For example, There will be vampire love, and when there isnt, its not long before some one falls for the vampire again.
Also, after this book, you will want to listen to the others... and the others are more disappointing then this one. especially with the time gaps. I have major issues with the way the author went about in telling the story after the first one. So many things seem to be put in place just for convenience. Like he didnt know how to continue the story so he just left it open... really sucks because this story is pretty awesome. it could of been legendary.
in the end i would recommend it to anyone... i don't even like fantasy readings that much like this... but its a good book.
5 stars.

Revisado: 01-18-18
Its filled with allot of things that are just general knolege or completely false. Sorry author, but you can not die in the astral plain. Fear of death in the astral plain should not be a precaution you should worry about. It is after all, all in your head. The author also assumes this is a religious practice and you should practice praying or asking help from Jesus or buda... I kind of knew I waisted $3 when I heard that. If you are looking for alternative methods or detailed descriptions on how to astral project, get another book. I would not recommend some one new either as it sets you up to think about this in a certain way.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

repeat on
Revisado: 08-24-17
after the 3rd chapter the preaching in this book will get so repetitive, that you honesty wont be able to tell if you have listen to the chapter before or wich one you are even on. this book speaks simple truths, and hands it out as if you are in a therapy session. it gets really old, really fast. the whole book can be summed up as, do what you think will make you happy by setting goals for yourself and learn that your problems are really not that special. this book uses dumb terms for the subjects at hand, gives no facts or studies, no professional advice, it litteral is a guy just saying, to be happy you need to know this stuff... its just a really repetitive self help book aimed to better understand your feelings, which all the opinions in this book should be self evident. there is no art in not giving a F***. if you expect some kind of insight to being laid back or reducing stress or anything along those lines, dont get this book. the only interesting parts to me were the stories they used to showcase human perception. to me its just dumb. how people were saying this is a great audio book is beyond me. i think its just because it has a curse word in tbe title.
