Historia
Murdoch’s past has finally come crashing down on him. His former girlfriend. His Family. He’s been happily avoiding them for ages, trying to live something close to a normal life. But now he’s been drawn back into another one of their ludicrous attempts to bring about the end of all things. Anne is tired of living in the past. She’s finally looking to the future and embracing her destiny. She’s going to lead the Family forward on their greatest, final crusade to destroy the hated Machine of their long-time adversary.

Enjoyable & Redundant “Threshold” Installment
Revisado: 08-02-23
I love Ray Porter’s performance (who doesn’t…) & Peter Cline’s writing is a perfect mix of humor/horror/intelligent stylism, but he kind of missed the mark on an “original” novel in this series. I’ve not read/listened to “Dead Moon,” and not sure I will. I ran through this audiobook after listening to “14” (I thought it was ok at first, but then it stuck with me especially when I heard this one, elevating it just from pure-comparison). I have to agree with one reviewer summing it up as “character reactivity” storytelling, I didn’t get a sense of who these people were, and only cared for Veek — again, a result of having heard “14” just before — but the character-development otherwise was pretty absent here. Except for Murdoch, I actually liked the poor villain, but again this wasn’t a real novel to me, just a “threshold got crossed again! time to patch it up!” situation. I still really enjoyed it, but don’t expect anything remarkable beyond that “summer reading” level, or your expectations are likely to be dashed. Would listen again if I could go back in time, but wouldn’t start with this one in Threshold Universe. I actually really would say Paradox Bound should be in this line-up, faceless men are actually more intriguing and delightfully disgusting than random quid-monsters with hoover-tentacles, lol. Not a hater at all, just lending perspective. I’d really recommend “The Dark” by Jeremy Robinson, if you like this kind of wit & more ridiculousness! Enjoy ;)

Love this cast & performance! Need more in my life
Revisado: 06-24-23
I’m here for the performers. Those two are probably tired of hearing it this as a “pair,” but each line from Chastain & Shannon is my jam. Equal talents across the board, just saying. Excellent production-value, story’s good- set in perfect “work from home,” style I could flit between pauses with work & well- it just makes my day brighter. So that's rlly all I'll say, if a title brightens my day, it's a good-one.
"The Space Within" skates through a psychiatrist's point-of-view (love that), as an emergent alien/sci-fi story interweaves wither own "human" struggles..I won't give much away, it's excellent & intellectual to a point of not taking itself too seriously, ya know?
In any case, I went through all episodes in ~2 shifts of work (don't judge, if it was a day off I would've listened in "one-play"). I couldn't help it! Performance literally "grabs you," and then leaves you wanting more...no, "CRAVING," more. Trust me, hit "follow" & get ready for a refreshing & exhilarating ride.
If this isn't enough to convince you: Look at the CAST & if you like their work, you’ll like this podcast guaranteed. I need this in my life, so please ... S02 much appreciated, in advance! enjoy ;)

Historia
The folks in Mike Erikson's small New England town would say he's just your average, everyday guy. And that's exactly how Mike likes it. Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.

Bit light on substance. High in show-factor.
Revisado: 09-17-22
I’d say for sheer lack of better words, I chose this novel along the sci-fi genre. Specifically on audible, listening again to an incredible dynamic illustration from Ray Porter, not exactly buying into nor satisfied with plot. Heavy use of time for a very road well-travelled sci-fi plot, in which eventual outcomes are nearly transparent by hour 5…. Of 15.. I heard it out because I paid for it. Search for ray porter’s other performances.
