An excellent listen if you like post appacolypse

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I am glad that I listened to these before listening to the Mad Mick series, since they tie in at the end. What these people go through trying to get home sounds like it could be a high possibility of actually happening. I found these two sets to be a great listen. I also found Kevin Pierce, as always, a great narrator.

Very enjoyable

I liked how the author created such diverse personalities for these "brothers". Each one has his specialty and works to complement each of his brothers specialties. The back stories of each brother is also important to the man that each one has become. I could do without the explicit sex scenes, but overall the books are good. Since the narrator appears to be a French man, I thought that he did a good job in his pronunciations.

One of my favorites

I just love the Mad Mick! I also love the voices in these series that Kevin Pierce portrays so well. I enjoy how these Mad Mick books tie in to other books written by Franklin Horton. Mr. Horton comes up with some spine chilling depictions of things the Mad Mick and his daughter Barb do and go through. Mr. Horton really goes out of the box in creating these stories. I have listened to both set I and set II numerous times.

I really enjoyed this series.

The stories were intriguing. The performances were spot on. I had a hard time stopping each day when I had to do other things. I was drawn in to each story. I could not guess "who done it". I really enjoyed these books. Well worth the credit.

Gruesome, but a great listen

I have listened to this series of three books three times. I get something out of it each time. I get loyalty. I get the deep love for family. I get never give up. I get do whatever you must do, without remorse, to save your loved ones. I get planning ahead as much as possible. Yes, the Mic used some vicious tactics, to kill as many as possible, but he was magnificent! If you can get past the gruesome aspects of this story, you will not be sorry that you got it!

I listened to this for several hours and found that it was very boring, the AI could not enunciate emotion, and the story was repetitive. I did not like it at all.

True story. Jimmy was not the best reader.

I knew several of these people. Everything in the story is factual. It is an interesting story, but I believe that Joe Keith Bickett's books may be better. Subsequently, it was worth the credit.

Hidden Agenda

At first, I thought that the main character was so high fa-looting that she was sickening. But, I kept listening. By the end of the book, I understood how amazing this woman really was. I imagine there really are actual people out there who are much like both sides of our main character. Anyway, it turned out to be an enjoyable listen. I even listened to it a second time.
