The story is good but no Ai can understand context and emotion so the emphasis is placed on the wrong words far too often. AI have no passion or desire and it detracted from my enjoyment, listening to a raunchy scene described the same way as a fight scene or words of love the same way as threats of death.
Only a human can understand how it feels to be human

Little Paul, the hero.

Every new parent, teacher, social worker and police officer should be required to study this book.
This is still happening today to children all over the world and in every socioeconomic group.
The courage and endurance of children should never be underestimated and Little Paul is an example of the subtle heroism of those who are being abused.
It is ordinary for abused children to suffer horrifically, and go to school with a smile on their faces and never say a word about it, but the truth is in their eyes.
I believe it was exposure to coal that caused the cancer.
And I believe that certain individuals should be put down like rabid dogs.

An important story for everyone to feel

This should be studied in schools, before children grow up to be adults with the power to abuse a child. It should be read by the people tasked with protecting vulnerable children. It should be felt by every judge and parole board before Making any decision about a convicted child abuser.
And it should be read by every abused child when they are young adults so they can understand that it was not their fault, they can know that the shame is not theirs to hold on to. They can believe that the filthy dirty stain belongs to the abusers and never the abused.

I enjoyed this series more than I have enjoyed anything like it in a long time.
The zombie theory has always been horribly flawed and this writer makes it almost plausible, in the best way possible.
Please make it into a tv series, just don't let anyone ruin it

This series gave me chills over and over again, the good kind.
I loved it so much I'm going to find and buy hard copies and add it to the library I will one day read to my grand children, right next to Harry Potter, the tales of Narnia and the Rangers Apprentice.

Ho hum

I’m really enjoying this series, the story is great and the narrator is talented.
After 17 books I have lost patience with the narrators seeming inability to check the pronunciation of words and names. There is no such thing as a princess re ger nt and I’m sure her name isn’t ele phone, it’s Regent re-gent and el ef oney like Persephone.
It’s really difficult to enjoy a story when you can’t stop thinking about the pronunciation and wondering how many other names are not what they seem.
The only advantage is that I now want to buy the books, just to make sure the characters have the names I think they do.
It’s a really shame as with a little bit of homework this narrator would easily make my top ten.
The author is trying Hard, so hard, by an order of magnitude. He even swapped out “so” with “very” lol
Of them all so far this is my least favourite, it seemed to drag a little, but I would still recommend the series, I feel like this book is the build up to something great.

True talent

Undoubtedly the best narrator I have had the pleasure of listening to. Very few people have the ability to capture the voice of every character from spoilt noble women to fat slovenly men and from common crafts men to kings and demons, this narrator nails them all.
The story is brilliant in itself.
If Peter Jackson directed it would make a movie to rival liars of the rings.
