Great story, character development, performance

And finally. NOT SMUTTY.
You can actually listen to this in the car without scandalizing others at intersections and parking lots. I'm not a prude - I enjoy those books too- but this is so nice. To have a great story without bizarre- you know-
As I read and listened? I became aware that certain characters seemed like old friends. What a tribute to a book.
I love how the story evolved and in the final book unexpected revelations which conclude the story but leave room for adjacent stories in the future.
I will follow this author and read everything they put out.

This was a great story I expected to not like it since it was told so quickly but the details and voice actors were fantastic. Enjoyed it so much I'll be looking for similar audible listens for short trips!

Love the twisty mystery
Revisado: 08-28-24
I absolutely hate the narration.
I get it. It's AI. Total crap. I mean who says things like route one hundred and twenty one. In stead of one two one or one twenty one. Things like that remind me a computer is reading it and then all I think about is AI.
JEEZ. PEOPLE NEED JOBS. LET PEOPLE NARRATE. so annoying. Seems like all the new material included with audible is AI. Such garbage.

This seemed like a decent story as soon as it began to unfold, but I didn’t expect to be dazzled in any way… and then… we’ll I won’t ruin it for you but let’s just say… the mind games are fantastic.

Fantastic story. Really loved how it was approached, how the story expanded and culminated. Excellence! I usually prefer mystery, espionage etc. this was awesome. I will try other Nora Roberts books because of this! Highly recommended!!

Terrific story, engaging from the first chapter to the last.. The narration superb, not interfering with the way your mind conjures images related with the story as often happens with audio books. The final reveal? which one?!? Loved the ending twists!
