The phrase “cleanliness is next to godliness” isn’t found in the Bible. Your house can never be good enough to please God—not because you can’t scrub it or declutter hard enough, but because that is never what He was looking for in the first place. Join Dana K. White, author of Decluttering at the Speed of Life, as she works through removing the shame associated with having a messy home and reveling in the grace and love of our Savior.

"Why me, Lord?" Amid the toddler tantrums, the mealtime melees, and the backseat blowups, have you found yourself asking God that same question? Maybe even screaming it into a couch pillow? You're not alone. Your most trying moments as a parent can quickly spiral into discouragement, hopelessness, and sometimes even resentment toward God or your family. Abbie Halberstadt, author of the bestselling M Is for Mama, shares scriptural wisdom and lessons learned from her own challenges as a mama of ten to help shift your perspective on the hardships of parenting and of life, in general.

This was eye opening!

I am a very blessed mama of 4 beautiful children. Although I have eagerly looked forward to being a mama since early childhood, some of the hard aspects in real life took me by surprise. This book opened my eyes to little ways I had slipped into selfishness and self-pity and helped steer me in the direction of renewing my commitment to being a godly, loving parent who loves steadily through the good and the hard.
Thank you, Abby. It wasn't always easy listening to your book...because I needed to process some of the hard truths you brought to my attention. But I am confident my attitude and example as a Mama will be the better for it. I look forward to listening and learning to your other book....or books if you write more. Thank you for sharing your experiences and wisdom, coupled with scripture to show where that wisdom came from.

Practical strategies that actually work!
Revisado: 05-21-24
I was reccomended this book by a friend.....and have been blown away by how much it has changed my life. Not knowing where to start and having "no time" while caring for my 4 kids had brought me to a place where I was mentally exhausted before I got started with my day. Clutter was invading my house faster than I could toss it out! How could I get my messy home to be the serene haven I was wanting?
Enter Dana K White's book. Now I know where to start. We still have crazy days (who doesn't) but 8 out of 10 days, I am ok having unexpected company drop by! My house is getting easier to manage. The clutter is getting less.
This book helps. Period.
And.....Dana is funny. The book is as entertaining as it is informative. It helps me have a better attitude towards my daily tasks.
Thank you Dana for helping all of us Slobs figure out this cleaning thing. :)
