Historia
An unimpeachable classic work in political philosophy, intellectual and cultural history, and economics, The Road to Serfdom has inspired and infuriated politicians, scholars, and the public for half a century. Originally published in 1944 - when Eleanor Roosevelt supported the efforts of Stalin, and Albert Einstein subscribed lock, stock, and barrel to the socialist program - The Road to Serfdom was seen as heretical for its passionate warning against the dangers of state control over the means of production.

Timeless
Revisado: 03-14-22
Only time will tell if the insights here are truly timeless, but I hope readers thousands of years from now would be able to read Hayek. His contrast between rule of law and the rule of a director was unexpected and irrevocably thought changing. He argues that because our knowledge and thinking capacity are limited a central planner must always be reactionary in nature and increasingly concerned with defining the hierarchy in society, whereas in the rule of law the framework is established ahead of time and thus fostering freedom from coercion as actors work within a known framework.
