Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

3rd time listening, still enjoyed it. I see myself and my stupidness. The hope of salvation becomes real when l hear these "through the valley of death" stories.

The main characters are engaging. I like happy cliffhanger endings. I think this series will be a fun addition to the others follow.

Historia
LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.

Who did what?
Revisado: 07-10-12
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Less characters, less planets, less races. In hold it in your hands book form it may track better, just way to confusing for me.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Not enough difference in character voices to help keep them all straight.
Any additional comments?
I kept confusing the characters with similar sounding names.

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Right Wing Nut Tree Hugger
Revisado: 12-04-10
Good story that makes a valid serious point to ponder. What would you do if this horror befalls humanity. Not when it happens but if it happens, will you be even remotely prepared mentally, physically or economically? If the answer is no, then think differently. We can not continue to burden the world or each other as we do today. I enjoyed the story telling. And I think the narrator was entertaining.
